She swallows hard. “Of course I do.”

“And there’s more.” I take her hand again, leading her to a door at the back of the room. “This area requires both a retinal scan and fingerprint authentication.”

The heavy door slides open with a pneumatic hiss.

Inside, row after row of server racks hum with quiet efficiency, blue indicator lights blinking in the dim light. The temperature drops several degrees, kept optimal for the machines that power our operation.

“This is...” she walks between the racks, examining the setup with professional appreciation. “This is state-of-the-art. Better than anything I’ve ever worked with.”

“I named this Cormack,” I point to the main server cluster. “I thought Da would appreciate being the backbone of the entire operation.”

She laughs, the sound echoing off the metal racks. “That’s amazing.”

As we exit the server room, she stops, looking up at something above the door. Her brow furrows.

“What does that sign mean?” She points to the engraved plaque I installed myself, the letters gleaming in the light: QH-HQ.

“It means you are now part of the Quinn Hacker Headquarters. I figured by making our headquarters here, even if we’re busy with Antonio, we can do our part to support the family.”

She laces her fingers and extends her arms cracking her knuckles. “I can’t wait to get started. Which chair is mine?”

I point to the one closest to the window overlooking the patio and lawn. She strides over, sits down, and her face lights up. “This is one swanky setup, Charmer.”

I nod, proud that all my planning paid off. “I spared no expense because we will be running all of Dublin from here—from behind a desk.”

“And you’re okay with that?”

I stride over and pull her to stand, so I can wrap her in my arms. “I’m more than okay with it. I know my place and my purpose now, babe. I’m meant to be here, working behind the scenes as the Quinn family’s last line of defense. And with youat my side and Antonio safe and close, it’s a fucking dream come true.”

She sags against me, as relaxed and happy as I’ve ever seen her. “I love you, Finlay Quinn.”

I claim her mouth, nipping at her bottom lip. “I love you, too, beautiful. And I know trusting in a future like this is scary for you, but this life of ours is going to be fucking amazing. I promise.”

My teal-haired temptress eases back from our kiss and arches a brow. “What’s with this ‘going to be’ bullshit? It alreadyisamazing. A girl couldn’t want for anything more.”

I grin. “Grand, then my work here is done.
