“Not really. It’s just confusing.”
“Darius spanked you?” I asked.
He nodded.
“And you didn’t hate it.”
“I didn’t hate it.” He tipped his head back and looked up to the ceiling. “I liked it.”
“Alright.” I shrugged. “Then let him do it again.”
“Doesn’t that make me a hypocrite?”
“Colton. Is that what this is about?” I took a drink of my coffee and set it on the table, leaning forward so our faces were closer together.
Here I’d thought Colton was being a jerk because he didn’t like that he enjoyed whatever he and Darius had done together, but it was clearly something much deeper than that.
“I’ve been judging you for a year. More than that, Kevin.”
“I know.”
“And I thought I knew what your life was like, but I didn’t.”
“A few spanks aren’t my life,” I promised him. “You still don’t know.”
“I know that,” he groaned, scrubbing a hand down his face. “But, like, I had ideas in my head. Preconceived notions and they’re wrong.”
“I tried to tell you that.”
“And I didn’t listen. I tried to tell you your experience instead of listening to it.”
“That’s profound, Colton.” I scratched the corner of my eye and gave him an easy shrug. “It’s not for everyone. I don’t fault you for the past. I fault you for the way you’ve acted this week, though.”
“I know. Darius has been telling me every night how miserable I’ve been, but I can’t get my head out of it.”
“Why would you want to? Half the fun is letting the feelings swallow you up. That’s when you start to enjoy things the most,” I said. “We don’t need to talk about it now. Anytime you want, I’m here for you. As long as the two of you both consent, everything is fine.”
“No offense, Kev, but I don’t want…” he trailed off, gesturing his hand in my direction.
“You don’t need.” I repeated the gesture at myself. “You can get spanked on Saturdays and have that be it. There’s no one size fits all thing.”
“Darius said that too,” he grumbled.
“Well, maybe you should listen to him?” I suggested. “You’ve been together so long. I’m sure he has your best interests at heart.”
As I said the words, they caught in my throat, stealing my air.
I wish I’d been smart enough to give myself the same advice weeks before when Ronan and I had started fighting. But much like things with Colton, what mattered most was the present…and the future. And my future held a long overdue orgasm and a summer wedding.
Tuesday. I only had to make it until Tuesday.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Ronan
Idug my heels into the bed and arched away from the mattress. In my hand, my cock thickened and throbbed. Kevin’s name fell out of my mouth as cum spattered across my stomach. With an unsatisfied groan, I collapsed back onto the bed, wiping my fingers clean on the top of my thigh. I’d have to get up and shower anyway.
It was Tuesday, and Kevin was coming home.
