Story: Deception (Mafia Daddies #3)
Chapter Forty-Three
Hallie
R occo held me all night despite his phone ringing and his messages pinging. He never paid it a bit of notice. His attention was solely on me, like nothing else existed, and that’s how I feel when I’m with him. Like I’m the only person who matters.
He lifts his head from my nipple, and I feel the loss instantly. “You stopped stroking my hair. What’s wrong?” His wet lips have me shuffling to ward off my desire for him.
I chew on my bottom lip.
He sits up. “Matt will come around, Hal, I promise.”
I shake my head. “He’s devastated.”
A chuckle leaves Rocco. “Then he needs to man up.”
My mouth drops open. “What?” How the hell can he be so heartless?
“Little Red. Devastated is seeing your favorite nanny have her brains blown out because she was fucking your older brother as well as you. The same nanny who was fucking your father.”
Horror strikes me in the chest as I stare back at him.
“Devastated is knowing your mom never wanted you at all and instead took a paycheck that was pittance just to get away from you, then died anyway.”
My heart constricts.
“Devastated is having your family labrador—”
I hold my hand up. “I get the point.”
“Matt isn’t devastated. He’s acting out and being a dick. He’ll come round.”
“I hope so.”
He moves from between my legs, and his cock stands tall and thick, and not for the first time, I wonder if there’s something wrong with it. How the hell does it stay like that all the time?
“Where are you going?”
Glancing over his shoulder, he heads toward the door. “Getting my baby mama breakfast. Fresh smoothie and muesli, right?”
“Right,” I confirm with a smile. As the door closes, I glance around the room, wondering where the cameras are that allow Rocco to know my every move. With a smile, I shake my head.
The man is certifiable for sure. But what the hell does that say about me?
