The officiant seems to go on forever, when all I want is to say is “I do,” then fuck my wife into oblivion.

After withdrawing the rings from the inside pocket of my leather jacket, I slide hers on her finger, and she does the same for me, our eyes never leaving one another’s. My heart aches at her beauty, my wife.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife.”

Thank fuck for that.

I slam my lips against hers, pulling her toward me in one swoop, and swallow down her gasp of surprise.

The exhilaration at knowing she’s mine has my head spinning with triumph.

Everything is falling perfectly into place.

When I pull back from Hallie, she sways on her feet, and I steady her. We’re both breathless, swimming in the intoxication of one another as Silas and Celia sign the relevant paperwork. Silas slaps me on the back, and I step forward to sign, then Hallie does the same without pause, and I revel in her compliance.

“Congratulations, lovebirds. Now I need to get back to my shift.” Celia hugs Hallie, and I bend to let her kiss my cheek.

“Go wait outside.” I cut Silas a look and point toward the door, and the tip of his lips tells me he understands.

“We done here?” I turn to the officiant.

“Yes, sir.” He places the marriage license in an envelope and gives it to Silas.

“Good. You can leave with Silas.”

“!” Hallie snipes, but I ignore her.

“Come on, old man.” Silas guides him out the door, and the moment it closes behind them, I turn to face my girl.

“Take the dress off, Little Red. Daddy wants to fuck you.”
