Kayden Winters

A guy could get used to flying private. Maybe the Kardashians would be disappointed by the lack of waitstaff, but I was as happy as a pig in shit! We’d boarded with food from Pizza Hut and snacks from what could have been the most expensive corner store in Anchorage.

The plane seated eight, with the addition of a suh-weet sofa, and each chair could be reclined into a bed. So guess who changed into jammies after dinner and watched a movie in bed? This guy!

Prince and Tundra had trailed over for cuddles also.

But since this was the first time I’d ever flown in luxury, I had no plans on falling asleep anytime soon. I had Coke to drink, candy to eat, lists to write, TV to watch, games to play on my phone, a comic to read, and a Daddy to ignore.

I legit buried my face in the comic he’d given me in Anchorage, only to avoid seeing him pace up and down the aisle.

What time was it? I checked my fancy watch and emptied the last of my fun-size M&M bag into my mouth.

Past midnight now. It was going to be a looong night at this rate. Even more so because it’d taken ages before we’d actually gotten off the ground. Daddy had explained that we’d waited in line for a runway.

Rolling onto my side, I supported myself on one elbow so I could drink properly, and I gathered some treats close to my pillow for easy reach. A new Push Pop went straight into my pie hole, and I grabbed my phone and hit selfie mode.

I grinned and took a picture, and I sent it to Chris with a text.

I feel like a private jet pairs well with my personality.

I checked and double-checked my spelling before I sent it.

Never again was I going to take Wi-Fi for granted!

Daddy had opted out of the Wi-Fi package at the O’Connor retreat, and if it hadn’t been for his magical cock keeping me distracted, I would’ve resorted to violence.

Chris responded after a minute.

Haha, same. Everything good?

“Still no answer,” Wade said irritably.

I glanced up from my phone. “Who are you calling?”

“Chris. He better be busy with something incredibly important…”

Uh-oh.

I looked back at my screen and texted a reply.

I’m great! But Wade is cranky because you’re not answering the phone.

“Is it urgent, Sir?” I wondered.

“Yes, I’d say my desire to punch him in the face is urgent.

” He slumped down in the chair across the aisle, and I lifted my brows.

He sighed and scrubbed his hands over his face.

“We talked when you were in the bathroom before we boarded. He basically said we’ll hit the ground running tomorrow morning.

But he ended the call before I could demand details. ”

Oh, sheeiit. That meant I had to prepare myself mentally! Because I wanted to be brave and confident. My role as bait should deserve a profile on IMDb when this was over. Possibly an Academy Award also.

My phone buzzed again, and it was Chris.

Let him be cranky. If he just pulled his head out of his ass, he’d remember that he trusts me. Maybe then he could quit acting like your worrywart daddy.

I let out a squeaky laugh, unable to help it, and I promptly slapped a hand over my mouth.

If only Chris knew how right he was!

“What are you doing?” Daddy asked with suspicion in his voice. “Are you talking to someone?”

Ummmmm.

“Maybe?” I sucked on my lollipop. “I texted Chris.”

He immediately narrowed his eyes and came over to me, so I just showed him the screen.

“That asshole,” he whispered. “If he thinks I’ll stop acting like your worrywart Daddy, he’s got another thing comin’.” With that, he pressed a firm kiss to my forehead and rose to his feet. “Please text him back from me.”

I quirked a grin and got ready. “Yes, Sir. What do you want me to type?”

He cleared his throat and went back to pacing, even clasping his hands behind his back and all.

“Dear baby brother, this is Wade,” he dictated. I began typing right away, holding my snickers to myself. “It’ll be a cold day in hell before I stop being protective of Kayden, even more so after our stay up north. But we can discuss that later.”

Oh-ho.

“Tell me if I divulge too much,” he requested.

I shook my head and typed the last sentence. “I have nothing to hide, Sir.”

“I’m glad to hear that, baby. Neither do I.

” He paused. “Next, you can write the following. What I want you to focus on now is the fact that I have the authority to divert the jet, which I won’t hesitate to do unless you give us more information.

While we trust you with our lives, keep in mind that Kayden is new at this, and the more he knows, the better he can mentally prepare. ”

He wasn’t wrong about that one. I’d like some more details.

Daddy was done, so I sent the message to Chris, and I hoped he responded quickly.

I was getting tired, despite the sugar rush and despite that I wasn’t done enjoying the luxury around me. But when push came to shove, I should get some sleep if I was going to be bait in the morning.

“He’s typing,” I said as soon as I saw it.

“Good.” Daddy started tidying up my table, including returning my snacks and candy to my bag. “I’m thinking we’ve had enough sugar for one day. It’s late and?—”

“Gah!” I clutched the armrest as we hit turbulence.

“It’s okay, little one. This is nothing, I promise.”

I exhaled shakily. He should know. He’d flown through much worse—but in my defense, he’d jumped out of big cargo planes in Airborne, not a sleek little private jet.

“Maybe we should blast some of your old running cadences from the Army,” I joked, managing a weak smirk. There was something about flying, man. I loved it as much as I hated it. “On that note, can I sleep with a parachute on?”

He chuckled and dropped a kiss to the top of my head. “That doesn’t sound comfortable.” He stole my Push Pop from me too, and I stuck out my tongue at him. “Oh, there’s that cute little tongue I was going to steal.”

Eeep! No, it was mine!

“Did he respond yet?” He walked over to the mini fridge and grabbed a bottle of water.

“Yes, Sir!” I opened the message, and Daddy joined me to read it.

What’s there for him to prepare for that I haven’t already told him?

He’ll be in a public area in Tysons. He will do absolutely nothing aside from being visible.

He can stand there and fiddle with his phone.

And for the fucking record, big brother, my authority supersedes yours.

Now calm your damn tits and get some sleep.

I’ll board the jet the moment you land in the morning, and we’ll go to Tysons from there.

“Ooooh, Chris put his foot down ,” I commented.

Daddy frowned and straightened up. “He’s still an asshole.

He sure as fuck didn’t tell us before that this is taking place in Tysons.

He did not inform us that he’s boarding the jet when we land.

He could’ve mentioned that earlier, and everything would’ve been fine.

” He shook his head and walked over to my bag, and he dug out my toiletry kit.

“Let’s go brush our teeth. We can reply to Mr. Authority later. Or not.”

I pinched my lips together and withheld my amusement, ’cause now wasn’t the time. But Daddy had pulled the authority card first…

I knew he was just being protective of me.

I left my seat and walked over to him, and I reached up and kissed his cheek. “You’re the best Daddy in the whole world.”

He looked a little surprised at first, but then he squeezed me to him and kissed my forehead. “Thank you for saying that, but unfortunately, I owe that asshole half an apology. I know very well that he can’t divulge too much. Information is sensitive in his line of work, and he’s being careful.”

I peered up at him. What he said made sense.

“I could’ve reassured you until he took over,” he added.

“But only half an apology, then?” I asked.

His mouth twitched. “I’m not going to admit to being irrationally overprotective of you.”

I grinned.

I woke up a few hours later, and I missed Daddy terribly. I’d already become accustomed to sharing a bed with him, and now he was a full four feet away from me on the other side of the aisle.

The back of the plane had four seats that were two by two, but they weren’t as comfortable when reclined, and that was where the doggies currently slept.

I yawned and rubbed my eyes before I glanced out the window.

The sun was up, but I had no idea where we were. Hopefully approaching the East Coast. I didn’t know where the time zones changed either.

Crawling out from under my covers, I snuck over to Daddy’s bed. His covers were twisted around his hips. No nakedness tonight. He was in boxer briefs and a black T-shirt.

Fingers crossed one of the pilots didn’t need to use the bathroom or grab coffee in the next fifteen minutes. I’d met them briefly last night, and both were pilots and operators at Hillcroft.

Hoping the bottom section of the chair would hold my weight too, I carefully straddled Daddy’s legs and tugged down the covers.

He let out a low, rumbly, sleepy sound and stretched out a bit, and then he cracked his eyes open and peered down at me.

“Morning, Daddy.” I brushed my hand over his underwear. He was semi-hard under there, so it was of the utmost importance that I got my mouth on that thing ASAP.

He smiled drowsily and pulled up one leg a bit, and I took the hint. I shifted my leg so I was straddling just one of his, and that way, he wasn’t trapped.

“Good morning. Are you on a mission?”

“Yes, Sir.” I ducked down and pressed my face to him, and he chuckled. But that was obviously not enough, so I pulled down his underwear. Much better. This was what I wanted.

I caught him with my mouth and licked the length of his cock before I sucked him in, and Daddy let out a long breath and combed his fingers through my hair.

“What time is it?” He reached for his phone in his cupholder. “Mm… We land in an hour.”

Yeah, whatever, I was busy.

I snaked my tongue around his cock, coating him in spit, then sucked him harder and deeper. I wanted him in my throat.
