“Yeah, but—shit!” LA grunted as Cass picked him up and gently deposited him on the counter.

“Is that all right?” Cass tilted his head. “Did I hurt you?”

“No. This is fine.” LA urged Cass closer so he was slotted between his legs. He draped his arms over Cass’s shoulders and leaned their foreheads together. “This is good.”

Cass rubbed LA’s back. “I liked baking with you. Watching the movies.”

“Even the scary one?”

“Yes. I also liked snuggling with you.” Cass smiled shyly, purring as he kissed LA’s cheek. “And… kissing you.”

“Are you sure?” LA smirked.

“What?”

“Are you sure you liked it?” LA glanced over Cass’s lips. “I mean, I could use a few more. Just so that we’re both sure about this.”

Cass narrowed his eyes. “I know what you’re doing.”

“Yeah?” LA tilted his head in.

“It won’t work.”

LA kissed Cass’s cheek, the curve of his jaw, and then hovered over his mouth. “Oh, I think it will.”

Cass’s purring grew louder. “I suppose you’re welcome to try.”

LA grinned and kissed Cass eagerly.

It was just as perfect as before, sweet and hot, and LA curled his legs around Cass’s hips to keep him close. He loved touching Cass’s fur, and he wanted more of his long tongue, licking into his mouth to urge it back out.
