After all your activity, you should let yourself rest when you need rest. Give your body some time off. I’ve done that several times over the past two years, and I think it was really good for me. I’m not one to really “exercise” on vacation, so you won’t see me in the hotel workout room. I work out way less when I’m on my period, and if I’m sick my workout will be just a bit of easy stretching or walking.
Working out and moving should IMPROVE how you feel and your quality of life, so if you’re feeling yucky it’s absolutely fine to give your body the time it needs to rest and heal. Just make sure you get right back into it as soon as you start feeling better. Nutrition should always be the focus no matter how you feel; make sure you’re feeding your body with things that make it feel refreshed, fueled, and strong!
