PRO TIP: Yes, I know this might be overwhelming; I often feel the same way. My advice is to take an entire weekend to really investigate your local markets. Again, a farmers co-op or market will usually have lots of healthy produce options for you. Ask questions about their farming practices and if they are organic—I’ve found most farmers like to talk about this.
Once you know which products are best and what your family likes, it will take far less time to shop. I actually only hit the very outside rim of my local big box store, and it takes about half the time it once did for me to shop. It will get easier!
I also order many of our pantry items as subscribe-and-save items at Amazon. These things automatically ship in the frequency best for you; we usually do every other month at a 15% discount. You just can’t beat that, especially when it comes right to your door. Make sure you consider that option, especially if you can’t find something locally. The truth is the cleaner you eat, the better you will feel and the healthier and stronger you and your family will be.
