“You’re an Officer in the Club. You wouldn’t be an Officer if we didn’t trust your judgment and loyaltytoour Club and beliefs. Your word would have been enough. The video is for the Brother, not me.” I throw the flash on my desk.

He smiles. “Thanks, VP.”

I nod. “His following, do you have concerns about those Brothers?”

“One. I have the group being watched, but one stands out, egging this guy on and drinking pretty heavily. He’s on cleanup.”

I nod. “Take them off your schedule and revoke clearance anywhere but to their rooms. If you have Brothers that are annoying, I’m going to say deal. We all work with people we don’t invite to dinner. If it’s someone you wouldn’t think of letting close toyourfamily, get him away from ours. And, Beacon, everyone in the Club, close to the Club, or that we work for, is our family.”

“Got it, Boss. I’ll get rid of cleanup and send this Brother up to you.”

“Good job, Brother.”

“What do I use to fire the asshole that...”

My hand goes up. “I shouldn’t have put that on you. Let me know why they’re off your schedule and I’ll call them in. Send cleanup to me at nine-thirty.”

He can’t take someone’s cut so it wouldn’t solve anything. He looks relieved. “Thanks, Boss.”

I walk out with him. “Glad to help, Brother.”

Now I can find Daniel and get home. “What’s with Beacon?”

Fuckingsonofabitch.“Cort. Security Brother in the room when a client’s kid dresses and showers. Doesn’t do anything but watch. He’s made comments about Seren, Lorelei and Victory at the Club. He has a following and another Brother from cleanup eggs him on.”

“I want them out. Who is it?” I feel how pissed he is.

“The watcher is in my office at nine tomorrow and the follower at nine-thirty. I’ll get the Prospect to call Security to bring them up.”

“You’re taking their cuts?”

I stop and look at him. “This is not a mistake I’m willing to repeat. I’m not forcing Beacon, Falcon or anyone else into the position I stayed in because I didn’t get rid of Billy and Deacon. We have too many Brothers and families in the Club now to dick around with possible pedophiles and rapists. Using the lesson, I’m taking their cuts before anyone gets hurt.”

I see his respect take the anger out of his eyes. “Good job, Brother. I’ll back you in the morning. Tonight, I’m taking Seren for a ride.” He starts walking again.

“Hey, who’s got Caelan?”

He shrugs. I move faster. “Seren trusts me.”

He smiles. “She does, Brother.” He throws his leg over.

“You’re not letting fucking Mounty or Hade watch him.”

“It might be their night.” He starts his bike and I shut it off.

“What the fuck? What if it’s Jinx and Brinks? Oh, Jesus, not Banks. Or...”

He starts his bike and rolls away laughing. Fucking Brother. “She trusts ME!”

“Who, Dad?”

“Seren. He’s taking her for a ride.” I pull him closer and kiss his head. “I don’t want him to leave Caelan with someone that doesn’t take care of him.”

“The Officers are good. Some of the other Brothers are weird, but I would trust the Officers.”

“Who is weird?”

He shrugs and swings his backpack on. I hold the strap so he can get his other arm in. “That Razor guy that always drives us. The one that Amos doesn’t like.”
