Chapter Nine

One week

Raid

After making breakfast, walking Daniel and Lorelei to the bus stop, getting us to work, Lorelei settled, my email cleared and Jinx updated, I head to Ops smiling. Doc picked up the brace and will meet us later.

Sex with a cast is not impossible, especially since she’s been walking on it, but it’s not optimal by any means. Lorelei has no complaints thinking it’s all amazing, but I’m ready for less obstacles and more positions. I like the idea of more positions. Spooning with pillows worked, but this is new and I want all of her. Missionary with pillows for her leg works too, but so far, our favorite is at the edge of the bed with a chair holding her leg. I want more. If what we’ve done is amazing, I can’t wait for her reaction to new positions.

“Only a woman could make a Brother smile like that walking the hall alone.”

I laugh. “You’re right, Falcon. Your smile’s brighter today too.”

“Only a woman. What’s going on in Ops?”

I smile Juanita is good for him. I’ve never seen race affect him and I’m glad that’s in everything.I shrug answering him while climbing the stairs. “It isn’t a help call. I don’t know.”

I thumb in and hear Cort yelling. This is not good. I’m pissed when I see him. He’s on the fucking screen. “What the fuck? When did he leave?”

“Ten minutes ago. Reynolds showed at the Credit Union pissed about loans or some shit. He’s been threatening the tellers. Cort ran and I sent Brinks after him. He was just pulling in when Cort left.” Jesus.

“Hade, we got bikes coming in from the south.” Vick moves to a Lead at the second Ops station.

Fucking hell. “Boss, bikes coming in from the south.”

I move over to the city highway feeds. “I need a Control, bikes twenty out, heading into the city,” Chaps says.

“I got it. Get four Enforcer Teams readied. We need four Security and six cleanup waiting. The mule truck needs to be checked and readied.”

“Boss!” Akai yells, pointing at southern Colorado’s board.

“Get Maverick, Jordan and Major up on a board for me. Hade, get Cort back here. Falcon, take a Control for Main. Vick, take Maverick. Get me Web, Amos, Jinx and four Controls for teams. I need IT.”

“Roger, Boss,” comes at me from every fucking where. Jinx and Web run in and I settle.

“Jinx, take Control on the city.” He throws chin moving fast.

“Web, run Lead IT for what you can. I called for IT, they’ll be in.”

“Roger, VP.”

My Presidents show and I tell them what we’re seeing. Jordan isn’t at the Club, but he’ll take an IT Lead when he gets there. Major has Clem coming in and his Controls gearing up. I throw Major and Maverick what we need for Enforcers, Security, cleanup and the mules. They’re passing it on as I’m thinking it out loud.

“Major, Falcon is on with Clem. Maverick, you have Vick on with you. Jordan, Jinx has the city with me.”

I get rogers and close them down. Brothers show quickly filling in positions. We got this.

“Hade?”

“He shot him and pulled him out. He’s on his way. Enforcers are leaving now. Security will follow. Cleanup and the mules are ten out. Highway feeds are being watched so we’re not surprised.”

“Thanks, Brother.”

“Boss, where do you want the two IT?” Web asks.

“City highway feeds, all directions and southern Colorado all directions.”

He sets As up and I look around the room. “Does anyone need a position filled?”
