Duroc looked at Bindi.Yeah, he couldsee she’d figured things out.He couldn’t tell what her thinkingwas.Damon was looking at him.Actually, they all were.

“When was all this decided?The momentwe mated?”

Damon had the nerve to smile.Marissa,on the other hand looked at Bindi with a seriousexpression.

“Do you need to speak to your mate?”Marissa asked.

Bindi looked up and her eyes metDuroc’s.He was uncertain about what to do.“Do you want to go seeour room?”

“Why not?”

Duroc led her away.He hadn’t theslightest idea where her head was at on this.Bindi might not evenbe sure about this herself.She had so much happen so soon that hedidn’t believe she’d managed to keep up with it.

“I’m sure you know what they’retalking about?”He asked as he closed their room door.

“They want you to fight the alpha forthe pack.”

“Yes, because of how he treatedyou.”

“My knight in shining armor?Isn’tthis to the death?”Bindi asked.

“Usually.It doesn’t have tobe.”

“You may decide not to kill him, butthat guy is a monster.He’ll kill you in the blink of aneye.”

“I know.You may be surprised to knowhe’d prefer to be killed if he loses.”Duroc explained.

“Why?”

“He’ll go to the council’s prison withno hope of getting out.”

“Okay, even I understandthat.”

“This is a hard decision, but I can bea pack alpha or take the job my dad has for me.The question is howdo you feel about being the pack bitch?”

“Do they really call it that?”Bindiasked.

“They do unless they find the lady inquestion doesn’t like it.This is your home we’re talking about,and these are your people.The choice has to be yours.”

“Way to bail.”

“Hey, I said I’ll support you, butthis is something you need to decide.”Duroc observed.

“I just don’t know what todo.”

“Why don’t we talk things out andmaybe it will help you decide?”

“Okay, we can try.”Bindiagreed.

“Would you like to live here so youcan get some answers about your mom and the rest of yourfamily?”

“I’ll admit, I wonder about her allthe time.Now I’m not even sure if she’s dead.”

“Could you handle being half of analpha pair?”Duroc questioned.

“I know nothing aboutthat.”

“So maybe.Do you consider these yourpeople, and do you want to help them?”
