It was mid-October, and Kingston’s birthday was the next day. I couldn’t have found a more fitting gift for him than getting his prosthetic. He was fitted for his new leg weeks ago, but today was the day he finally got to try it on and wear it for the first time. He still had therapy to go through to ensure the leg was comfortable and to walk in it properly.
His prosthetist, Evan, sat on a stool in front of Kingston’s, who also sat in a chair, showing Kingston how to put on the thick liner that went over the leg and knee.
Kingston looked up at me with twinkling blue eyes and a huge smile before watching Evan slide on the suction part of the prosthetic, which also wore his other running shoe.
“I bet you’re looking forward to walking again, eh?” he asked.
“You have no idea.”
The man chuckled. “Oh, I have a pretty good idea. I’ve been doing this for twenty-one years. There’s something magical about seeing a patient’s eyes light up when they can walk again. They feel almost complete, you know? And it makes my job really rewarding.”
“I can’t wait,” Kingston breathed.
“I’m also good at this. As long as you’ve been working on your desensitization, you should feel pretty comfortable. You’ll have some balancing issues and adjustments to get it to feel almost natural, but it will come. Eventually, you’ll be able to do almost anything you want, like hike, run, climb, play a sport—”
“Skateboard?”
Evan laughed. “Yes, skateboarding, too. Now, bend your knee.”
Kingston slid his knee into the socket of the leg, and Evan rolled the second liner up the leg to hold the prosthetic in place.
“How does that feel?”
“A little weird, but I can’t wait to try it out.”
“Take your time standing, but stand on your right leg first before putting pressure on the prosthetic.”
I held out my hand for him, and he slowly stood before grabbing the two wooden bars flanking either side of him. He didn’t really need me, but I needed him.
Evan rolled back on his stool between the bars and watched Kingston stand. Then he felt around Kingston’s hips.
“Let’s try to get a good feel for your new leg.”
He helped Kingston slowly wiggle and get used to the new prosthetic, moving it around along with the ankle and taking tentative steps.
“Looks good,” Evan said. “I know it may be a little awkward now, but trust that the leg is on there. You can feel confident it’s going to stay on as you move around. ”
Kingston worked on his walking, making sure to bend his knee and not limp, and Evan made sure he had good balance while standing and walking without holding on to anything.
When they wrapped up the session, Kingston had scheduled several appointments to continue with prosthetic training. He would need it for at least another six months. Eventually, he would be able to run in it.
Tuesday morning was Kingston’s birthday. He stayed the night at my place, and I had to admit, I really enjoyed sleeping in my own bed again. I’d come back home a couple of times a week, and Tony would watch over Kingston when I couldn’t, but there was something comforting about your own place.
Hudson had already left for school, so we had the house to ourselves. I also took off work tonight to celebrate his birthday.
I rolled over onto my side in bed and watched Kingston sleep. He’d been sleeping better these days, in less pain and discomfort, which also boosted his moods. I couldn’t wait to see the day he skated again. That would be the true gift.
Kingston rolled over and tucked himself against me, draping a heavy arm across my hip. “Do I really have to be thirty today?”
I chuckled and kissed his forehead. “We can pretend, but it all catches up to us, anyway. Happy birthday, Skaterboy.”
He opened his eyes, looking extra blue with the morning light streaming through the curtains. “Seriously, I’m just glad I lived to see my thirties. I almost didn’t.”
I frowned and pulled him tight against me. “Thank fuck, you did.”
“On a lighter note, I haven’t told you what I wanted for my birthday.”
“Oh, and what’s that? Though I got you a few things already.”
“Sex.”
I laughed. “We’ve had quite a bit of sex recently, which I’m forever grateful for.”
“I know, but I want to be inside you. ”
He hadn’t been inside me since before the accident, worried about the pressure he put on his residual leg and his insecurity revolving around it.
“I’m ready, Chef.”
I kissed his sleepy lips. “Then let’s do this. I’m also ready for you to be inside me. I miss it.”
“And I want lazy, sweet, sleepy smells, morning breath, birthday sex.”
I snorted a laugh. “That’s oddly specific, King.”
He shrugged and smiled. “I’m weird like that.”
“You’re perfect like that.”
I reached over into my nightstand drawer and pulled out a small wrapped box, handing it to him. “Your first gift. I’d planned to give this to you later, but it will work perfectly now.”
“Oooh, a naughty gift. Love it already.”
Kingston yawned as he opened the box and laughed. “You’re right, it’s perfect.”
“Want to wear it as you fuck me?”
“Definitely.”
After quickly washing the massager, I grabbed the lube from the nightstand. “Pull back your legs, baby. Let’s work this prostate massager in. You’re going to feel so good.”
My cock already turned hard, thinking about him feeling like he was getting fucked as he fucked me. So hot. And I couldn’t wait for him to be inside me again. I was also happy to see his confidence shine through enough to do this.
His cock was hard, too, showing how eager he was for this.
I dribbled lube over his hole, some getting on the sheets, but I couldn’t care less. Then I lubed the toy. It wasn’t too small, but it wasn’t huge either. I wanted him to really feel it, but not be uncomfortable.
I worked the tip inside him, and watching his hole loosen, allowing me to slide it right in. The base flared, ensuring it wouldn’t get stuck.
“How does that feel?”
“Your cock is better, but I like it.”
I waggled my brows. “Wait until I turn it on.”
He chuckled before his eyes rolled up in his head when I hit the remote control .
“Niiiice…” he breathed.
I turned it off so we could get me prepped first.
“Do you want to lie down and I ride you?” I asked.
“No, let me do this on my knees. This will be good to help keep my leg desensitized, too.”
“Okay, but tell me if it starts to hurt.”
Once he worked me open, and I needed some serious work, since I wasn’t used to having him in me, I turned on his prostate massager.
He closed his eyes for a second and breathed before he lined himself up with my hole. We were facing each other, with Kingston hovering over me as he leaned down to give me a quick kiss before plunging into me.
It was my turn to slam my eyes shut to the burn, but my ass remembered his cock, and I quickly adjusted.
“Holy shit, Chef… I fucking miss this.”
“How does it feel with the massager?”
“Heaven… absolute heaven.” He opened his eyes and winked at me. “Maybe we should have a third boyfriend to fuck me as I fuck you.”
My eyes opened wide, and I moved my mouth, trying to form words. “D-don’t you dare! You’re mine and mine only! I do not share.”
Kingston burst out in laughter. “I’m teasing you, baby. You’re it for me.”
I huffed and turned on his prostate massager to full blast, forcing his eyes to roll up into his head and his body to freeze. “Fuck…”
“That’s what you get.”
I turned it down, and he chuckled. “Remind me never to piss you off again.”
It was my turn to roll my eyes up in my head when Kingston pulled out and slammed back into me, hitting my prostate.
My legs spread open for him, and my fingers dug into his hips as I met him thrust for thrust.
“I’m not going to last long,” he breathed.
Kingston lay on top of me, rolling his hips as he rested his hands on either side of my head and peppered me with lazy kisses.
“I love you so much, Chef,”
I smiled with my eyes closed, wrapping my arms around his now sweaty and strong back as he rested his face in my throat. “I love you, too, Skaterboy.”
As if my words were enough to send him over the edge, hot cum filled me, and his body froze. He groaned and then sighed when his body went limp against mine. It didn’t last long, though, as he quickly pulled out and sat up to swallow my cock down.
My hands fingered through his hair that was growing out, and I tried not to choke him as I thrust into his mouth.
I hadn’t expected the blowjob.
Soon, I exploded, and Kingston swallowed all that I gave him, milking me until I had nothing left.
“Yummy,” he said, sitting up and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“It’s your birthday, not mine, but I’ll take it,” I said.
“And that was a present to myself.”
“I’ve got more presents for you tonight, and your family will be here for dinner and cake.”
“They are?”
“Yep,” I replied, brushing away sweaty bangs from his forehead.
“Do you have enough space for them?”
“We’ll make the space.”
“I can’t wait.”
We kissed for a bit longer, making out like fools. Then I massaged his residual limb, giving it kisses. It weirded him out at first, but eventually, he came to love it, knowing that I loved every inch of him.
Eventually, we dragged ourselves out of bed to shower and get ready for the party for Kingston’s big thirtieth.
After we ate dinner, everyone gathered in the living room to eat cake and open gifts.
“Good thing I made such a large cake,” I said, winking at Kingston as I lit all the candles. “You have way too many candles. ”
He gave me the bird, making me laugh.
We sang him the birthday song as he buried his face in a throw pillow. I’d never seen him so shy and embarrassed in my life. When we finished singing, his face popped out, looking bright red.
“Never sing to me again,” he groused.
He stood with his wine glass in hand and raised it. “I want to say a little something. I’m not one for speeches, but I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you over the past two months. Without you all, I wouldn’t have made it this far. You are my family. My crew. I love each one of you. Some of you helped me. Some of you pushed me with tough love. But every single one of you had a hand in my healing. I can’t thank you enough.”
His family held each other, looking teary-eyed—well, not the stoic ones, but you could see the love in their eyes.
“I would also like to announce a business change at Alpha’s,” he continued. “Ajax and Stix… just wow. You both especially came through for me by helping out behind the bar and working extra hours while ensuring we were stocked and the bills were paid. This is my announcement that I would like to make you two part-time managers. With that comes extra pay. It’ll be tight, but I think we can do this now that Alpha’s is bringing in more money.”
Ajax and Stix looked dumbstruck, their jaws dropped.
“Seriously?” Stix asked.
Kingston smiled. “Seriously.”
With that, Kingston sat down and opened presents. I gave him a keychain of a prosthetic leg with his name engraved on it and the date of the day he lost his leg.
“Thanks, baby. I love it,” he said, kissing me.
“That’s to remind you of how far you’ve come, but it’s not your only gift. You and I are also taking a mini-vacation during the week, so it doesn’t interfere with the weekends. We’re going to the coast. It’ll be cold, but the place will be quiet. I got us a rental two weeks from now in Ocean City. It’s not a fancy beach, but it’s close.”
“God, I love that. The beach sounds perfect.”
“Open mine!” Stix said, tossing a plastic shopping bag Kingston’s way.
“Let me guess… A T-shirt. ”
Stix’s dark eyelashes fluttered. “You know me so well.”
Kingston rolled his eyes, pulled the T-shirt out, and read it out loud before throwing back his head and laughing. “Amputee: Some Assembly Required.”
He pulled off his sweatshirt and tossed on the T-shirt. “Ain’t that the truth. It’s perfect.”
