I wrap my arms around his neck, feeling his hot breath against my skin while his hips snap forward, his dick pushing deep inside me. It only needs a little guidance from me for him to know how to move and how to fuck me. “Benji,” I gasp. “Make me yours!”

Closing my eyes, I feel him probing my neck, his lips moving over it while he is thrusting into me. Then, without warning, I feel a sharp pain in my neck that soon turns into a different, almost blinding feeling of lust. A shiver goes down my spine, my mind turning dizzy at the jolts I suddenly feel so much more. The bond snaps in place, and I can feel my mate so much strongernow. I have never felt that kind of ecstasy before, only heard about it from mated wolves. Before I even know or grasp what’s happening, I find a sudden power taking over me, my head snaps up, and my teeth elongate. I bury my teeth in his neck, marking him as mine, in return.

“Fuck,” Benjamin groans. “Lori… this is… fuck!” He grabs my hips tighter, thrusting into me a couple more times before I feel him tensing up. Hot liquid fills my walls before Benjamin goes limp. I hug him closer to my chest, wanting to feel his warmth for a while longer while we both try to calm down. His breath eventually evens out, and he rolls onto his back, pulling me onto his chest.

“Lori,” he whispers. “That was amazing. Thank you so much.”

I feel my cheeks flush, and I bury my head in his chest.

“Oh!” he beams. “And your wolf came out!”

I look up at him. “I know!” I exclaim. “Isn’t that weird?”

His eyes flash again and turn darker. It seems like his posture is changing slightly. This must be his wolf, Stellan. “Lovely mate,” he says, touching my cheek gently.

“It’s not weird?” I ask him hopefully.

“Not at all. She must have been triggered by me marking you.”

I snuggle back against my mate’s chest. “Do you think she will talk to me eventually?”

“We will try to trigger her more often,” Stellan says, a sly smirk curling his lips.

I chuckle. “I see what you are suggesting. I am not opposed to a lot of repetition.”

Stellan kisses me softly. “My human is longing so much for you, I’d better retreat for now.”

I make sure to grab his face and kiss him again. Benjamin and Stellan are a unity, a package, and if my wolf spirit never truly comes forward, I need to make sure to do them both justice. Stellan smiles brightly, winking at me before retreating again.

“He is totally smitten with you,” Benjamin says. “He is not the only one.”

“I am so lucky to have you two as my mate,” I say, while wrapping my arms around his middle.

To my amusement, Benjamin suddenly pumps his fist into the air. “I am a mated wolf,” he blurts out. “Fuck yes! I got the best mate ever, and can live my life with her.”

I giggle at his antics. “You are so cute.”

“But it’s true,” he says, pulling me closer. “A couple of months ago, I would have never believed my life would turn out like this, and now? It’s a miracle.”

“It’s the same for me,” I say. “When I was kicked out of my pack and lost my first mate, I thought my life was over. But it’s only just beginning now.”

Once I say it out loud, it sinks in for real. I was desperate, broken and hurt, and thought my life was over. That only desperation and death were awaiting me, but now I am finally living.

It’s only just the beginning for Benjamin and me.

Chosen Family

Iused to think that wolf shifters were weird. That was until I became one of them, part of their pack. Now I think they are endearing and fascinating. There are bad apples everywhere, but for my pack, I know for certain that I have the best pack members. The way they see their mates and family is so inspiring.

A couple of weeks ago, Benjamin was officially announced as our gamma. The pack celebrated him and was genuinely happy for him. But for him, the biggest achievement was to have his mate with him. He was so proud to carry her mark, just like Marcellus shows my sign on him to everyone who is interested – and to those who aren’t.

They celebrated Lucian being announced as beta in a similar manner, much to my surprise. I know that no one here minds having a joint coven and pack, but it’s always humbling to see in person how open and accepting they are.

“Makes me wish I had a wolf mate, too,” Lucian jokes when we watch how Lori and Benjamin flirt with each other.
