Story: The Strategist

I snorted. “You love the image of me with you. That’s not love.”

“You’re taking her to Monaco!” Her voice rose. “I called the committee and asked them.”

“She’s my girlfriend, Sylvia. Leave her alone, or you’ll regret it.”

“My father sponsored your wine. All I have to do is tell him you pissed me off. He’ll cancel the business contract.”

“Go ahead. I agreed to the contract because it would benefit your father’s restaurant. But things have changed. You crossed the line.” I stared at her. “Listen carefully: my wine doesn’t need your father’s endorsement. I don’t give a shit whether his restaurant carries my wine. But if you harass Vivian again, I’ll ruin his business. And we both know you need your father’s wealth to support your lavish lifestyle.”

She glared at me as I walked out of the room and slammed the door behind me.

VIVIAN

“You look pissed and exhausted,”I told him as he shook off his coat, tossed it over the couch, and sunk into the cushion.

His brown hair was disheveled, but he still looked so handsome. I’d missed him terribly.

Kaylee had gone to school, and I’d taken the week off because of the video of me fighting off two women at Providence Place. The video had gone viral with the hashtag #badassdentist.

My office informed me they’d been getting a high number of phone calls for an appointment with me. All my appointments had been rescheduled or gone to Dr. Goodwin, who was the part-time pediatric dentist at my office.

“Iamand exhausted.” Arrow yanked me into his lap. “Why didn’t you tell me about the attack?”

“Because I wanted to wait until you got back. It’s not that important?—”

“You wereattacked.” His voice rose, and his jaw was tense. “That’s highly important to me.”

I could feel his irritation filling up the room.

I shifted and straddled him, sensing the growing bulge in his jeans. How could he be so angry and aroused at the same time?

“I can tell you now if you’d like.” I leaned in and gently nipped at his ear. “What do you want to know?”

His voice hitched. “How much did you miss me?”

I smiled and dropped kisses along the roughness of his jaw. He hadn’t shaved in a few days. “Lots and lots. But that has nothing to do with the attack.”

“I already know everything about the fight. You should’ve reached out to me the minute it happened. Bad girl.” He gripped my hips, one hand gently slapping and squeezing my ass. “But you did well.” His hand slid under my sweatshirt and tank top, claiming a breast.

I’d been yearning for his touch. He rejuvenated me in every way.

Removing my sweatshirt and tank top, he said, “You don’t need to worry about them anymore.”

“What do you mean?” I moaned as he rolled my nipples between his fingers.

“Now stop thinking about them.” He feasted on my breasts, and all thoughts vanished from me.

Heat soared through me from the hungry wolf of a man suckling one breast, then the other. I arched back, grinding my hips against his cock. I gripped at his hair, loving the way he tugged at my nipples and dropped kisses all over my breasts.

“More,” I begged.

He growled and crashed his lips to mine, taking what he’d missed. To be kissed and wanted by him made me feel liberated. Like I could conquer the world as long as he was with me. I responded with the same passion, kissing him deeply.

I’d yearned for him the past few days. I’d even come two nights ago imagining all the things he’d do to me. It had been fun thinking of him as the hot and kinky patient coming to my office and having his way with me.

“Oh really?” he asked.
