Story: Tempted By Poison
Chapter 43
Poison
Behind that black door, blood
––––––––
We arrive in frontof the casino, two trucks deep. To get in, it borders off with the rest of the road. Stones and letters appear at the entrance of Casino La Vay. The casino is heightened by large structure and high pillars. White strobe lights arrange the bottom and top, narrowing in on the pathway to financial destruction.
Mal trails behind us with Jax in her truck. I ride past the entryway where people are dressed in their finest attire and stroll side by side with their friends or their significant others.
The gun clicks in the passenger seat. I glance over to Anita in her all-black combat outfit. She lifts her submachine gun, checking the ammo. Her hair is tied up in a slick ponytail, and there’s not a strand out of place—even from when my fingers were deep in it earlier. Her curly bun tucked in a braid wrapped around the band. I get a perfect view of her slim neck that lines to her jaw. The parts I love kissing and biting while I’m fucking her.
My cock twitches with excitement. Not now, stay down. It’s not like I didn’t have her before we left. As she was zipping up her bulletproof vest in the room, she looked so damn sexy that I had to sink myself into her. I bent her over the couch as she was walking out and ravaged her. It was so euphoric, my body nearly convulsed from the release and from her sweet cries.
The smell of roses and vanilla swarm in my nose makes it harder. “Do you have to smell so good?”
It’s a stupid question, but I can’t think at the moment. I look back straight., heading under to drive into the garage. It has three levels, so I decided on the very top.
“Would you rather I smell like trash?” she says, amusement clear on her tongue.
I smirk while parking the car. “Fuck no.” I park the truck at the far end, ducked in between the edge and another vehicle. “Then again, maybe you should, so my dick doesn’t have to get hard every chance when I’m around you.”
Anita chuckles, running her hands smooth across her ponytail. “That sounds like a medical issue. You should get that checked.” She laughs harder now, unbuckling her seat belt.
I chuckle with her, my heart doing jumping jacks and horrendous palpitations from the harmonic sound spilling from her mouth. “Maybe you can check it for me.” I dim my voice, leaning over to her side.
A grin forms her lips, meeting me half in the middle. “I think I already did earlier, sir. And from my diagnosis.” She pretends her hand is a note. “Your cock is perfectly fine. And I mean perfectly fine,” she adds a purr as she says it.
I reach over, grasping her nape with a tug closer to me. I tilt my head, pressing my lips to hers. Heat floods over—this vest isn’t helping.
“Let’s go.” I plant one last kiss on her lips before getting out.
Anita meets me around the back, fixing her dagger holster with one hand. Mal and Jax come up from the other end; Jax looks the least bit nervous, like he expects to die here.
Even more of a reason to make sure he lives, but I can’t care more about his life than he does. “In and out,” I say, strapping my Velcro.
“Victor says he keeps a list of names in a book. Is that something you still want to look for?” Bringing up his daughter is like digging your nail into a fresh cut. The wound doesn’t heal right away; it takes its time, gradually replacing the red blood cells to set the foundation. With him, it just continuously scraps at it until there’s nothing but dripping blood and bone.
He winces, his jaw tightening, and the grip around his gun tightening enough to dent it.
“It’s your call. Just say the word,” Mal says reassuringly, the wind blowing in her loose wavy hair.
“Yes, we’ll get that book if it’s here,” Anita adds in with sincerity in her voice. We don’t know him very well, but he’s earned my respect.
He nods stoically. “If it's here, fine. But I won’t go through hell trying to search for it. It’s already too much.” He stops, letting out a deep sigh.
Pain.
He didn’t need to finish for me to understand. “We get it.” I look around, checking everyone. “Alright, we don't know this layout. We may be going in blind, but my best bet is we follow the signs. What are they?”
“Anyone with all black that looks fishy,” Mal says.
“Sometimes it’s not always black,” Jax adds in.
