Story: Tainted Bride
"Aashi, where is it stored?
Aashi points to her with her finger, which is Prakram's cupboard. She opens Prakram's cupboard to retrieve her medicines, and as she does so, she notices the well-labeled quantity of each medicine. She takes the medicine for fever, pours it into the cap of the medicine bottle, and quickly feeds her. After giving her the medicine, she brings her back to her room and tries to make her lie down on the bed, but she holds her tight and hugs her, saying this in her sleep.
"Mumma..."
Padma comes there, and trouble is clearly visible on her face.
"I have been knocking on both of their rooms for so long, but neither of them is ready to open the door... They are sleeping like logs.”
"Don't worry, I have given her the medicine."
Despite giving her medicine, her fever is increasing rapidly, which is a cause for concern for them. They are both very nervous about seeing this.
"Maa, quickly bring ice in cold water, and I will place cold strips on her head; she will feel some relief."
Padma leaves from there without any delay, and she has a good look at Avishka, whose sleep is far away from her eyes. Aashi is reclining on her lap. Despite trying all night, Aashi's fever isn't going down, and Avishka is sitting all night with a cold strip on her head. It's morning, but Aashi's fever is not going down at all. Padma, too, is exhausted and has fallen asleep on the floor, but it seems as if sleep has disappeared from Avishka's eyes completely; she is only concerned about Aashi.
When Prakram comes into the room in the morning, he is completely surprised to see his daughter in this condition, and he immediately calls her.
"Aashi…
After hearing her father's words, Aashi, who was unable to sleep due to a fever, quickly tries to open her eyes, sits up, and just extends her hands towards her father instead of getting up from the bed. Without any delay, Prakram immediately approaches her, takes her in his arms, and begins to question her, his face displaying worry.
"What happened, my love?"
Padma, who has suddenly woken up hearing Prakram's voice, sits down and immediately tells Prakram.
"We had called you a lot, then we gave her medicine from where Aashi told us, but there was no significant difference in the fever, so we were not able to understand that after how many hours we should give her the medicine again, so Avishka sat here the whole night to place cold strips on her forehead to subside the fever."
After information, Prakram checks his phone carefully, in which there are many phones of them, and starts taking his daughter from there so that he can take her to his room and give her the medicine again, but Aashi is holding the end of her saree, due to which the saree suddenly comes off her head, and Prakram also stops with a jerk. Aashi is holding her saree tightly. Prakram turns, catches sight of Avishka, and informs her.
"When you know that Aashi wants to be with you, you should always be with her. Keep this in mind: if my daughter likes you very much, then always stay with her."
He suddenly holds her forearm; she still doesn't have her saree on her head, and he starts taking her towards his room, holding Aashi with one hand and Avishka with the other. She is almost running at his speed. He immediately retrieved the medicinefrom a hidden corner of his dressing room, handed Aashi to her, and said,
"Hold Aashi carefully; this medicine is bitter, so I keep it hidden because Aashi throws it down the drain as soon as she finds it. It has a beneficial effect on her fever because it does not go down easily."
Aashi opens her small eyes, catches sight of the medicine, and immediately begins to cry due to its bitter taste. Avishka holds her very well, and Prakram holds her mouth and starts giving her the medicine with so much care. Both Avishka and Prakram are making every effort to calm her during this period, but Aashi's constant crying and thrashing of her hands and legs are making things difficult. After exerting a great deal of effort, Aashi manages to take the medicine with great difficulty, but her crying persists. As a result, Avishka begins to caress her affectionately and begins to walk with her in her lap very lovingly.
"It's okay, Aashi... You are a very good girl... This medicine will cure Aashi quickly."
It seems that she is not paying any attention to the fact that the saree has been removed from her head; she forgot to cover her face, and Prakram's eyes are following her wherever she is roaming while sitting on the couch like a king. Aashi is still holding her saree tightly, due to which she cannot hide her face at all by keeping the saree on her head, but she is trying her best to hide her face, due to which she is not looking at Prakram. He was trying to move around with her back turned towards him.
Prakram has also looked at his daughter many times because he knows that this medicine will bring down her fever. His eyes turn, taking a good look at Avishka's long hair. He is not fond oflooking at anyone, but he feels like he is admiring their bond. He didn't like her presence, but the way Avishka is worried for his daughter is that she did not sleep the whole night. This situation is causing him to contemplate numerous aspects of life.
CHAPTER 23
Prakram is looking at everyone angrily, and they are very scared because, apart from Avishka, the two nannies are standing in front of him, and their faces are bent downward, and neither of them has the courage to look at him even once. Sandhya is well aware that Prakram's anger is so intense at this moment that he could potentially kill both of them, and he harbors no remorse for doing so. That's why Sandhya immediately intervenes and says:
"I was the one who told these two to go to sleep quickly.”
You instructed both of them to sleep comfortably, knowing full well that Avishka is capable of providing excellent care for Aashi. When someone knocked on their door, were they so intoxicated that neither of them got up? .... Aren't they also my child's nannies, just like Avishka?
"Sometimes you get tired; you also have to understand this; now Aashi is absolutely fine.”
Padma did not know at all that Prakram could get so angry, so she told everything to Prakram, but now she is regretting her words, due to which she too is very upset because of Prakram's anger. He gets up from the couch and lets out a loud scream.
"Armaan…"
