"Very." Sam nuzzled my cheek with hers. "Unexpected."

"Best kind."

Caroline returned a moment later with a plate full of sweets and Alex bounced along behind her, her eyes bright.

"Rosie," she called in a silly sing-song. I sat up in Samirah's lap and smoothed down my skirt to my knees. Sam sorted my hair then held me around the middle.

"What's going on?" I asked her, plucking a chocolate donut off the plate when Caroline offered it. Nora chose a glazed one and smiled at her when she bit into it.

"Do you have your keys?" Alex leaned over the back of the chair and grinned at me.

"Um...yes. Why?"

"Can I borrow them? I left mine home."

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Who are you taking home? Not Frankie, is it?"

"No." Alex swatted my arm and Samirah tensed under me.

"Then who?" I glanced over her shoulder toward the closed door to see a pretty brunette lingering there, her eager eyes trained on Alex.

"Sara." Alex made to shove my shoulder, but Sam caught her wrist. "Hey."

"Gently, please," said Sam. Alex's expression cooled and when Sam released her, she rubbed my arm instead.

"Can I borrow them, please?"

"Yes." I stuck my hand in the pocket of my skirt and pulled out my keys. "Change the sheets."

Alex snatched them and snickered. "I will. Thanks." She bounded off without a second thought and tugged Sara back through the house.

"There are a lot of horny lesbians here tonight," commented Caroline around a bite of a brownie. "Seems like we're in the right place."

"Seems so." Sam continued to dote on me with soft touches and caresses while the flames of the fire reflected in her eyes. "I'd like to head home soon, Rosie. Is that okay with you?"

"Yes." I offered her a bite of donut and she accepted it. "Good thing we're not walking."

"Why?" asked Nora.

"I confiscated her panties." Samirah laughed and I hugged her around the neck, kissing her all over her cheeks.

A wry smile melted over Caroline's face as she watched us. "I'll text you later, Sami."

"Fine. C'mon, baby." Sam urged me to stand, half lifting me until I set my feet on the ground. I made sure to fix my skirt before waving to them.

Sam took my hand then we headed back inside.

After brief goodbyes and gratitudes, Sam and I headed back to her place. Before she even closed the front door, she grabbed me into a heated kiss. I stood on my tiptoes, cupping her face in my palms while stroking her cheeks with my thumbs.

"What's bothering you, baby?" I asked, noting how the spark in her eyes dimmed over the past hour.

"I wanted to be alone with you," she said, her hands on my waist. "Do you mind if I have a quick shower?"

"I don't." I paused, then tapped her bottom lip. "We can take a bath together if you like, in your fancy jacuzzi tub."

A smile parted her lips as if the thought never crossed her mind. "Would you like that?"

"I would." I nodded and bit my bottom lip. "Very much."
