Story: Mate to the Alpha Predator
"We meet again, Fee-male." And as usual, he was wearing a black scowl on his face that smells trouble for her. "Where is my ring? Hand it over. Now."
CHAPTER 12. HUNGER; KISS OF HEAT.
"Wolfariane!" She gasped, her eyes wide like saucers. The sight of him again... Heavens.
Her body went warm, her nípples hardened to hard nubs. She felt fevered, her skin sensitive, ready for his touch. It was unlike anything she had ever known. It was unlike anything she ever wanted to know.
What is wrong with me?
"We meet again, Female." Calm calm voice, which only managed to make Ismena more nervous.
Wasn't he supposed to be shouting? Screaming at her? Then, she will know where she stands. This calm demure looks more dangerous.
Sandra was saying something to her on the phone but she wasn't listening anymore. Picking her phone up from the floor, she hung up.
"Uhm... Uhh, what brings you here?" She took a step back.
"Don't." He commanded.
She froze. For one second.
Don't? Of course, she will.
Immediately, she slammed the door to his face, whirled around and bolted deeper into her house. Her heart thudding in her chest, she ran straight to her bathroom and slammed the door shut.
Not enough, not enough, not enough. She bolted the locks. Her eyes landed on her dresser, for the first time she's extremely happy for having one in her bathroom.
In hurried footsteps, she got to it and dragged it all the way from its original position to the door. Damn, it's heavy too. "For the greater good, for the greater good!" She gasped as she barricaded the door with it.
Done, she stood breathing hard in panting breaths and surveyed her work. "Yes!" Definitely a satisfying work, "If he's standing at that door waiting for me to come out, he's gonna grow old out there."
Wolfariane Daminor Throne stared at the closed door before him in complete bafflement and mild anger. Does the female think something as slight as a closed door can stop him?
He placed a hand to the door and gave it a slight push.
The crashing sound of locks falling to the tiled floor filled the air, the door busted wide open. He walked through it and looked back at the door. The door jam has pulled completely off the wall, and laid with the locks on the floor behind him.
Then, he turned and surveyed his surroundings.
The woman was nowhere to be seen, but her scent...it was overwhelming in this place. Her home.
So overwhelming that he gnawed his teeth, and found his body stirring to desire. A feeling he battled greatly and silently within himself. Outwardly, he was calm.
"I can smell you. Find me before I find you, female." Voice deep like the fierecest ocean filled the air.
"Go away!" Ismena squeaked from the bathroom where she'd hidden herself. He's not close to her, but she can practically hear him like he's whispering to her ear.
Gosh, the man scares the very devils outta her. And that's saying something because she doesn't scare easily.
"I can hear the racing of your heart. The quick shaky breaths you take. The smell of your fear is choking." The predator in him loves it. Nothing smells better than a prey's fear.
No, there's one thing that does smell better. Arousal. He can smell hers too.
"What do you want from me!?" She shouted behind the door's thick heavy barricades.
Silence descended. The house was suddenly too quiet that for a moment, Ismena considered that he has left.
Then, the bathroom door busted open.
