Page 26 of Grumpy Billionaire Seeking Wife
“Thank you, Wes,” she says, blushing.
Sabrina’s eyes narrow as she looks at the hostess, and then she looks at me. I give her a wry smile and shrug before I take a seat next to her and look down at her long, creamy, exposed thighs. Her short, black miniskirt has ridden up, and I watch as she desperately tries to pull it down again.
Her eyes flash as she glares at me, and I shrug again as she blushes. She looks far too cute.
Miles takes a seat on the other side of the table next to Erica and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
“So, this is Steve.” Erica points to the guy with the dreadlocks. “And that is Rudolpho.”
“Oh, yes, Rudolpho.” I grin, staring at the man.
He looks at me and blinks. “Whatup?”
“Not much. How are you this evening?”
“Good. Like, what’s going on here?” Rudolpho looks over at Sabrina. “I mean, I was just joking when I said I wanted to hit it. Like, you didn’t have to call reinforcements or bodyguards or whatever.”
“We’re not bodyguards,” I say, laughing. “We just happened to choose the same restaurant and be seated at the same table. Please, continue your date as it was.”
I smile at Sabrina. “How’s it going?”
She blushes and gives me a pointed look. “Absolutely amazing.” She reaches over and grabs Rudolpho’s hand and squeezes. “I feel like we really have a connection, don’t you, Rudolpho?”
“Yeah. I mean, aside from you catfishing me.” He makes a face, but his eyes haven't left her boobs.
“She catfished you?” Miles leans forward. “No way! I didn’t think you had it in you, Sabrina. What did you do?”
“I didn’t catfish him,” she says, glaring. “I…”
“I mean, she must have used…what’s that app called? Facetune, Autotune, Bodytune?”Rudolpho throws his hand down on the table and starts cackling. “I thought she was going to be 100 pounds. You know what I mean? She’s more like 180.”
“Hey!” Erica screams, chin out. “Don’t be rude.”
Rudolpho throws his hands up in the air. “I mean, I’m just saying, I like a little pushin’ for the cushion. Wait. I like a little pushin’ for the cushion.”He bursts out laughing and high-fives Steve. Steve cackles and throws his head back.
“Hey,” he says, looking at me, putting his hand up in the air. “I know they said that I go by Steve, but you can call me Bad Boy Joe.”
“Bad Boy Joe?” I repeat the name.
“Yeah, Bad Boy Joe, you know.”
“No, I don’t know. Exactly what is that name?”
“He wants to be a musician,” Erica says, giving me a look. “And he’s very talented. He’s already played several songs for us that half the restaurant has heard.”
“You know what I mean. I am the king. I am the queen. You know what I mean?” Steve says, rapping loudly.
I press my lips together and try not to laugh.
I look over at Miles, and he’s staring down at his phone. I know he finds the situation absolutely hilarious, as well.
“So, have you got any albums out, Steve, or rather, Bad Boy Joe?” I ask him.
“Well, you know. I’m just waiting on that financing to come through. All the way through baby. You know what I mean. I am the king, she is my queen.” He points at Erica. “She’s the bad girl, she’s gonna be down on her knees tonight, licking my…” he pauses.
“You do know that’s our sister,” Miles says, frowning.
“Oh, yeah, man. I mean, this is just a song.”
