Soon, the pilot announced we were landing, and Sierra went back to staring at the window.
The dry LA air greeted us just as we exited the jet, and I led Sierra toward the SUVs waiting for us.
“Damn, this is sweet. No lines, no crowd. I can’t believe I am a celebrity now,” Raphael announced proudly as he followed us.
Sierra and I both ignored him.
Emmie and Mikey had already taken the first car out while the three of us hopped into the next one, and within minutes, we were cruising down the once familiar streets.
A place I once called my home.
Sierra still had the same awe-filled eyes when we reached our residence, a huge sprawling Spanish-style mansion in Beverly Hills. This was the only residence we didn’t sell, knowing we needed a place to crash whenever we were here.
“Wow,” Sierra whispered. “I’ve never seen a house as big as this.”
“Yeah man, this place looks incredible,” Raphael added just as we entered the massive foyer decked in marble upholstery and low glimmering chandeliers.
“This way.” I pointed toward the hallway that led to the main room.
Soon, we all huddled up in the lounge room and polished off some Chinese takeout before we decided to crash early since we had a show day tomorrow. And show days were tiring as hell.
“This is yours.” I opened the door to the guest room that was right next to mine and set Sierra’s bag on the table at the foot of the bed. “Hope this is okay for you?”
“Are you kidding me? This is incredible. My room back home would probably be called a closet compared to this,” she said, her eyes taking over the expansive room, carrying the same decor from outside with beige walls and wooden furniture.
I nodded as I leaned lower and pressed a kiss on her. “Sleep, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Okay,” she mumbled, smiling at me.
It took everything in me to close the door behind her and pad to my room. Because she was a temptation without even trying, and if I stayed there any longer, I was going to lose the last thread of control I had.
Ten minutes later, I hopped out of the shower feeling a whole lot calmer as I towel-dried my low-maintenance hair when I heard a knock rumble through my door.
Frowning, I dashed the door open to come to a sight I least expected.
Sierra stood on my threshold red-faced as she clutched a blanket around her small frame. She had forgone her usual hoodie for a tank instead, which molded against her luscious curves, a vision that made me instantly hard.
“Can I sleep with you?” she blurted.
I blinked.
Her eyes widened like she didn’t believe she just said that. “No. No.” She shook her head frantically, her hair flying everywhere. “I didn’t mean it like that. I mean, just sleep together. You know, like without doing anything. Anything at all. Nothing. Just sleep,” she rambled, a flush creeping up the tops of her heaving chest.
SIERRA
Way to go, Sierra.
I think at this point, I couldn’t count the number of times I had embarrassed myself in front of his man.
And now, I called this man my boyfriend.
I didn’t know what came over me when my feet carried me across the hallway to knock on his bedroom door like some clingy girlfriend. Maybe it was the new place, or perhaps because I wanted more of him.
But what I didn’t expect was for him to be shirtless, with pebbles of water dripping over his hard ridges. I had to press my thighs together to contain the throb in my core.
His gaze softened as he opened the door farther and gestured me inside.
I didn’t even have a second of awkwardness as I stood there in the middle of the room because he took his hand in mine and instantly made me feel safe as he pressed a kiss on my forehead.
