Story: Frat Around and Find Out
Before last night, I’d seen her around campus and at events, but it wasn’t until after my conversation with Ty, when he was so sure I’d never mess around with a girl the way he would, that I started chatting her up.
“When did I pass out?” I ask, rubbing my eyes.
“Less than halfway throughWicked. But you said you’ve seen it before, so I didn’t feel the need to wake you up.”
“I vaguely recall making it to ‘Popular.’”
She laughs. “Yeah, I’m surprised my singing along didn’t wake you. So what do you want to do now? Morning BJ? Or would you rather go down on me? I don’t think I’m ready to be fucked again.”
“Wait, what?” I ask, my headache making me particularly confused.
I glance over myself, fearing I’ll find myself naked like in some kind of college movie where the guy didn’t realize he’d hooked up the night before. I’m slightly relieved to find myself in the pajama bottoms and tank I changed into after we came to my room.
But only slightly.
Angie laughs again. “I’m kidding. The look on your face!”
“Oh…”
In the short time I’ve known her, I’ve discovered she has an interesting sense of humor. Like when I confessed to her I’d gotten myself into a jam with Ty by saying I would try to hook up with a girl, she immediately said,“We should go back to your room. He won’t know the difference.”
I’m hoping Ty bought it. That, despite how he thought I would never do something like that, he was sitting there wondering if he really knew me at all. Maybe even jealous because Angie is hot as hell—the kind of girl my brain can’t compute having in my bed right now. Although, it makes more sense knowing we didn’t do anything together.
“You mind if I have breakfast here?” she asks. “I’m hungry, and I’ve been awake for the past thirty minutes.”
“Of course. After the favor you did for me, I owe you.”
“I think you should owe me more than breakfast, but it’s a start,” she teases with a wink. “Speaking of which, this is probably the first walk of shame I’ve done without having messed around with someone. It was fun, though.”
She has this bright, beautiful smile, and, it bears repeating, she’s hot as hell, yet there’s zero chemistry between us. But she seems like she’d be cool to be friends with.
“Now, come on.” She crawls over me and jumps down from the bed, starting for the door. “I’m legit starving.”
I tail behind her as we head downstairs. Angie immediately attracts the attention of some guys who are watchingJudge Judyin the main living area.
“Hey, boys,” she says like a girl who’s never met a stranger before heading into the kitchen, where Marty and Ash are eating breakfast.
Ash smirks, and Marty is wide-eyed like he thinks I shouldn’t have been able to attract a girl as hot as Angie. Even Frat Cat, cuddled up in Marty’s lap, looks to see what’s up.
“Hey, Ash,” Angie says.
“You know each other?” I ask.
“We were in a study group for Electrodynamics,” Ash replies.
“That’s right,” she says. “Do you all mind if I just make myself at home? Just let me know what I can and can’t eat.”
“You’re a guest,” Marty says. “Help yourself.”
She does a double take. “Such a gentleman. Thank you.” She heads to the pantry and starts to search through while Frat Cat climbs on the table to keep an eye on our guest.
“Hey, Prez,” I hear behind me and turn to see Ash’s stepbro-boyfriend approaching. Emory is about an hour from here without traffic, so he makes sure to drive up here for the weekends so he can spend time with his man.
With a towel around his waist, his hair still wet, and shiny wet patches across his chest, Colin must’ve just taken a shower.
“When the hell did you get here?” I ask as we hug.
“Around two in the morning,” he says, pulling back.
