Xander

Over the years, there has been one person who knows everything about me.

All of my secrets.

All of my dreams.

All of my wishes.

All of my wants.

And as I sat there with my brothers, hearing Grey bitching about not being able to find a good woman.

Hearing him complain.

He had just looked at all the brothers, and Merlin spouted off a few things that he wished Tempie didn’t do.

Then Grey looked at me.

I lifted a brow at him.

Then I shook my head, “Got myself a good woman, ain’t saying shit.”

That was when I felt a pair of all too familiar arms wrap around my shoulders, then a kiss was pressed to the top of my head.

Her scent of cherries, vanilla, and chocolate surrounded me.

“Love me some of you,” she said.

“Fucking love me some of you, too, baby.”

And then she gasped, “Umm, honey?”

I tilted my head, “Yeah, baby?”

“My water just broke.” She said.

Her face was pale.

I froze.

My. Water. Just. Broke.

I stood up so fast I thought the chair hit her, but luckily Grimm was there to stop it.

I lifted her in my arms, her wet legs in my arms, and carried her out to my truck.

Then I buckled her in, rounded the hood, started it, turned on my hazard lights, and then the sound of twenty bikes started.

And then we raced to the hospital.

The next seventeen hours went like this.

“Don’t tell me how big that contraction was. I felt it.” She snapped.

“Don’t you dare eat that in front of me,” she growled.

“You’ll give her herpes.” She sneered at Wolf.

“You're not getting into my promised land ever again.” She wailed.

“How dare you tell me I’m still beautiful. You promised never to lie to me.” She sneered.

“I’m sweating worse than a nun in hell.” She growled.

Thirty minutes later, when they placed our son, Niko Joseph Kope into her arms, she smiled, then looked up at me, and whispered, “I love you.”

I winked as tears hit my eyes at the beauty before me and said, “I love you too.”

An hour after that, the brothers came back into the room and checked out the second-generation SOMC.

Wolf scowled at her, “Herpes. Really?”

She gasped, “What are you talking about?”

“You told the nurse that I’ll give her herpes... really?” he said in a sarcastic tone.

She giggled, then she started laughing, “Read a meme that if you tell a woman that, it means she doesn’t deserve the man she is looking at.”

Wolf scowled, “The fuck you mean?”

She smiled, “Wolf, really? All the teasing you do... It’s to hide that tender spot you have inside of you. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to stand there and watch her lick her lips at every brother in the room and then lock eyes with you and think you’re an easy mark. Nobody does that to my boys.”

Wolf was silent.

In fact, you could only hear Niko’s breathing.

Then Kettle said, “You weren’t standing when you said that.”

She burst out laughing, which caused Niko to jump.

Then my son was passed around as the brothers checked him out and proceeded to give him wisdom.

“Only Harley-Davidson, Triumph, or Indian is allowed to be driven,” Nuke said.

“Don’t hit women,” Grimm growled.

“Don’t disrespect your mother. She scares me,” Grey said.

Khal pressed a kiss on the top of his little black hair-covered head, and since he was of Hawaiian heritage, he said, “Kahaha I komo mai I keia ao.”

He lifted his head, looked at my woman, then he said, “Wonder just entered this world.”

At those words, my woman started crying.

Nola

It’s been a year and six months since we welcomed our son Niko into this world.

And if Xander ever had any doubts on how to be a good father, I knew that they were all gone.

Because he blew my own father out of the park.

***

I sat out on our back deck.

And had one thought, if I wasn’t already pregnant with his baby... I’d jump him.

He was mowing the lawn with his hat on backward.

Baby, come to mama.

At the sight of him, I whistled.

His head snapped up, and he smiled.

Niko was on the porch with me, playing with his army soldiers and tanks that Wolf had gotten him for his birthday.

He loves those things.

And he loved when his little brother or sister moved in my belly.

Which he or she was doing right then.

And before I could tell Niko this, he stood up, waddled over, and placed a hand carefully over the spot and smiled.

Mason Elijah Kope came into this world at seven pounds and nine ounces, twenty inches long.

And he was the perfect replica of my man and his older brother.

Ten months later, yes, you read that correctly, we welcomed our girl, Marianne Ali Kope into the world. She was six pounds and eight ounces and only nineteen inches long.

Seeing her, Xander said, “Put her back in there and replace her vagina with a dick.”

“Xander!” I snapped.

He looked at me with a horrified expression on his face, “Baby. There are two of you. My heart can’t take the perfect that is you on a good day when someone fucks with you. The fuck you expect me to do with a miniature version of you?”

At his words, I threw my head back and laughed.

Then I said, “Xander. Shut the fuck up.”

He growled, grumbled, then said, “Need more weapons and tools.”

And yes... I knew of the tools he was referring to.

About three months after we were married, he told me some of the things he’s done.

And for the reasons he did them.

I’ve never been prouder that I get to call this man mine.

And after I woke up, after taking a much-needed nap, it was to see Xander with Marianne against his naked chest, rocking her back and forth as he sang softly to her.

Worried about his heart not being able to take it, my ass.

The man didn’t realize it, but he had a heart that was so big it was near bursting.

And my kids and I were the only ones who were lucky enough to see it, witness it, and feel it.

Oh yes... over the years, my husband, my life, my heart, has definitely made the stars wince at the brightness we created.

Twenty Years Later

I scrolled through my messages, and when my eyes landed on a certain text thread, I smiled.

“Dad?” Niko called out.

I looked up at him and saw that Mason and Marianne were with him and lifted my chin.

“Going out for a ride.”

I looked at Mason and Marianne and lifted a brow, “Helmets?”

Marianne winced, “We are never forgetting those again.”

Mason grimaced, “Yeah. Thought you were scary, but compared to Mom? Yeah, no.”

I smiled.

Huge.

Niko chuckled, “You like that?”

“Fucking love, it. Why do you think I push her buttons?”

Just then, I heard it.

Something I’ve been waiting for.

“Xander Philip Kope!” she yelled.

The kids looked at one another and then raced out of the house.

I smiled, then I called out, “Yeah, baby?”

“Where’s my fucking cheeseburger?”

At her words, I froze.

Oh. Shit.

That wasn’t the particular button I meant to push.

I jumped up and raced out of the house, running to my bike.

“Xander!” my woman called out.

Our kids were laughing their asses off.

I looked over my shoulder at the door that she had just stepped out of, with her hands on her glorious hips that I fucking loved.

“I’m getting you another cheeseburger. I love you.” I hurriedly said.

She visibly sighed, “I want onion rings too. And a strawberry shake. Love you.”

Then I stupidly called out, “I’ll fix the clothes.”

She lifted her brows.

I winced.

“I added a red shirt in with the white towels,” I said.

And had she not loved me like she did... I’d be dead.

***

She had eaten her burger, her onion rings, and downed her strawberry shake when she held out her hand.

I knew why.

Yes, we had a joint account. However, I was the one who fucked up the laundry.

But she had been adding brand-new towels to her Amazon cart for over an hour now.

I sighed, lifted, grabbed my wallet, and handed it to her.

She pulled out my card and said, “Thank you.”

“I want that one day,” my daughter said.

I looked at her and winked, “Want what, princess?”

“The kind of love you and Mom have. The kind where neither of you has to say a thing and the other already knows.”

Niko and Mason both nodded their heads in agreement.

Then I looked at my wife, who was looking at me, and winked.

Then I looked at our kids, and said, “Just make the stars in the night sky wince from the beauty you create.”

The End.
