I will.Laters
And she's gone.
I should snap a picture of Mr.Sexy to send to her.Maybe this weekend over wine. No, before wine, when we still have our clothes on.I smile at the naughty thoughts of how we will drink the merlot.I better get off this bed before I satisfy myself.I want to be ready for his fireworks.
I spend the rest of the night working on the moves to the "Happy" video and taking notes.I leave my doors open on the balcony to listen for Moore's truck, but he doesn't come home.
Before bed, I go onto the balcony. The night air is pleasant, and the moon is up, so I decide to sit a bit.Maybe I can catch a glimpse of Mr.Sexy walking like a God from his truck to the building.
"God, I have got it bad for him."
I wake and look at my phone. It is well after midnight.Moore is partying with the bros.I finally give it up and go to bed.
Thursday morning, the sun has to wake me.When I check the time, I freak!
SHIT!I'm going to be late!
I throw on my suit and run to my car.Once I'm on the road, I make up the time easily.Walking in with a minute to spare, no one notices, and I take my seat behind my desk.
Charlie and TD are not in yet. They arrive mid-morning in golf shirts.
Charlie greets me."Good morning, Siri."
TD mimics him."Good morning, Siri."
"Morning.Did y'all have a successful trip?"
Charlie replies then winks at TD."Yes, we did.Did you miss us?"
I roll my eyes at them.
TD chimes in."Of course she did.Right?"
"Umm-hmm."I lie.
Charlie, who considers himself a serious playboy, is in his early thirties but tells everyone he is in his late twenties.Tall, dark, and handsome, I'm sure, have always been used to describe him.He is physically fit and a stud by most standards. He grew up in Live Oak, graduated college, moved back home, was hired by Mr.Connors, and has worked here since.
On more than a few occasions, I've caught him staring at me from his office. He would be a regular in Been Jammin's VIP lounge.
Then there is Thomas David.TD for short. He brags, "TD is short for Touch Down, baby.I always score."But I seriously doubt that.
TD is a transplant.A total metro man complete with manicured nails. His white-blonde hair is shoulder length, and he styles it with a big hairbrush for extra body.He is short but cute. His deep blue eyes are his best feature. His pale complexion requires a tanning bed to maintain color. His teeth are slightly crooked, but he bleaches them, so it's less obvious.
He's a spoiled, rich kid.He dropped out of college, and his mother called in a favor from Mr.Connors to land his job.TD's type tip extraordinary amounts for the attention.I don't care for them.It rubs me wrong because it isn't their hard-earned cash. His claim to fame is a fire-red Porsche.
The phone rings."Run along, you two.Someone around here is working."Turning my back, I answer it as they each go into their offices.
It's Charlie's young wife, Mandy."Siri, hey, this is Mandy."She whispers."Don't tell Charlie I called.I want to surprise him.Is he in yet?"
"Yes, ma'am.That's right."
She giggles."Good.I went shopping and have a new outfit to show him."
"He will like that."
She giggles again.I suspect Mandy isn't in her twenties."Is TD in too?"
"Yes, ma'am.That is correct."
