"Good evening, ladies.I'm looking for Beverly."
"She's inside.Is she expecting you?"
"Later in the evening."
"I can text her someone is waiting to see her if you like?"
"Thank you."
"Sure."She takes her phone."Who may say is here?"
"Aurelius Moore."
Her eyebrows flinch, telling me she wasn't expecting Aurelius, then she begins texting. The other hostess asks me."May we offer you a drink while you wait?"
"That would be nice.I'll have Crown neat, please."
She also takes her phone and sends a text.
"Beverly will be right out."
I nod and step back to let another patron approach. While I wait, I examine the banners hanging from the rafters over the area. All of them are advertising a dancer named Surreal, but they appear to be of Brittney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, and other performers. In the center is the only one that has an unknown dancer. She has black and gold hair, and her face is covered by a bejeweled Mardi Gras mask. The banner shows her gripping a stripper pole at her pussy and doing a full split on it.Her arms are pushing her big tits out of an open heart-shaped hole.Hmm.Her body is fucking hot!I thought Kip said Seary was the headliner, but this girl is definitely the star attraction.
When I turn back to the hostess podium to ask, I almost knock my drink out of the hands of a nice-looking woman dressed in a red sequined gown.My reflexes catch the drink and stabilize it in her hands. She is unfazed, smiling, and introduces herself."Mr.Moore, I'm Beverly.Welcome to Been Jammin'.How may I assist you?"
"I'm going to gamble at table #56.I would appreciate a call when my party arrives."
"Certainly.I will see to it personally.Have you enjoyed our tables before?"
"No.I can't say that I have."
"Well, allow me to register you so you won't have to cash out your chips."
"I appreciate that."
"This way."She turns, and I follow as she steps around the patio area and enters a black side door with a key code that is next to invisible to the naked, untrained eye.We step into a plush hallway with doors leading off each side.A showgirl enters with an older gentleman in tow.She escorts him into one of the side doors and closes it.Beverly explains."This area is reserved for our VIP members.I would be happy to schedule you a tour.My office is right here."She opens the door and waves me inside.
I enter to find a large office with a desk at one end and a couch, and two sitting chairs framing a coffee table at the other. There are autographed pictures of her with a who's who of icons in the entertainment industry. The celebrities vary from Wayne Newton to Justin Bieber.I step up to the wall and begin scanning all the pictures. While she walks to her desk, takes the laptop off, and goes to sit on to the couch."Let's get you hooked up."
I smile at her words, then dig my money clip out of my pocket, unwrap the credit card and hand it to her with a smile.
She smiles back, closes her computer, stands and takes the card, then walks back to her desk while I sit down and enjoy the drink she brought me.I ask her the questions I have while watching her scan it, knowing it will answer all her questions.
"Who is Surreal?"
She glances up."She's our star performer."
"Who is Seary?"
"She's our headliner."
She opens a drawer and takes a card out, and activates it.
"How much are your VIP rooms?"
"That's between you and your choice from our talented dancers."She smiles and hands me both cards."Present our card whenever you are here in the club.It will be all you need."
I stand and return them in my pants pocket."Thanks."Bending back down to pick up my unfinished drink, I ask."What's the difference between being a star and being a headliner?Besides the money."
