A smile crept across ’s lips as he felt hands rubbing his chest and slowly moving down to his stomach. He adjusted his arms and spread his legs without opening his eyes. “Mm,” he sighed.
The hands continued down further and further. Finally, let out a sigh of relief as he felt a hand jerking him off.
“Looks like somebody is excited to wake up next to me, huh, little witch?”
“Huh?” jerked his head up to see Uriah, eyes still closed, tugging away at him.
“Griff!?” a perplexed Uriah opened his eyes.
“Not quite, stud,” said with a laugh.
“No matter,” Uriah said with a smile as he leaned down and opened his mouth.
“H-hey, hold on,” pulled Uriah up by the shoulders and met him with a kiss. “I wanted to say thank you for coming to the rescue last night.”
“It’s nothing,” Uriah shrugged as he sat up in bed. “And by that I mean, uh, after taking some time to examine my priorities, I realized that there’s—well, nothing I wouldn’t do to keep you and Griff safe. I also reckon the brooding phase was getting a little tiresome.”
“It was, but that’s okay,” said as he stretched his arms.
“And if there’s two things I’ve learned in my magical, immortal lifetime, I guess I could chalk it up to always following your gut instinct, and always letting others know how you feel,” continued Uriah.
“Oh, really?” the werewolf teased.
“ Really ,” the vampire responded as he leaned in and returned the kiss.
found Uriah’s closest hand and squeezed it. “So, you think our acrobatic feats last night scared Griff off?”
“Under normal circumstances, that might be the case.” Uriah shrugged, flipping the top sheet off of both of them as he rose from the bed. The naked vampire made his way to the restroom, but stopped just shy of the hallway. “Speaking of things that are definitely not normal, I think you’ll want to come here.”
Rubbing his eyes, rolled out of bed to join him. “Is that the sunrise?”
Uriah stuck his arm into the hallway. Nothing. The unclad duo made their way into the living room.
“Griff?” Uriah called out and yawned at the same time.
“Where’d he go?” asked with the flip of a light switch.
As unnatural lavender hues reflected on their bare torsos, the vampire and werewolf made their way to the apartment balcony. The concentrated glow seemed to come from the edge of town.
“I think I know,” said Uriah. “But you’re not gonna like it.”
