Sam scowled but stepped in close to let Con wrap his arm around him and breathe him in for a minute. Sam smelled divine. A hint of a high-end cologne that somehow didn’t bother any of their hyper senses. “We all need to sit down and talk later, okay?” Sam said.

“Okay,” Con agreed. “Everything okay?” He wondered if having Bella was already causing a problem.

Sam gave him a tight smile. “Let’s not worry about anything yet. I moved some of your stuff out of Bella’s room,” Sam said. He pointed toward the rearranged living room, one side now his craft space with his industrial machine and his cutting table against the far wall. “It’s not perfect, but gives her a bit more space. Ordered some big craft cabinet thing that is supposed to fold all in on itself? Won’t be here for like two weeks, though. I changed the faucet. Luca was sad about losing his cock fountain. I won’t miss it. Made my dick hurt just looking at the bend in that.”

Con hugged Sam close, squeezing him like he was a big teddy bear for a minute. “Thanks.”

“Don’t wrinkle me. I have to be on TV.”

Con let go and stepped back to look at him. “What?”

“Hart wants me on TV. Front and center for media. Because I’m a vampire and a witch.” He sighed. “Thinks it will help people understand what’s happening. I told him he should pick some other poster boy.”

“Is there a better fit than someone who is a vampire, a witch, and likely as powerful as a Pillar of magic?” Con asked.

Sam tilted his head, not looking happy. He wasn’t dumb. He knew he was crazy powerful. Anyone who pretended otherwise had a death wish. He’d killed two of the Tri-Mega and devoured their power with his siphon abilities only a few months fresh from the grave. Outside of Seiran Rou, Sam Mueller was one of the most powerful witches on the planet. “I hope to not be gone long.”

“You can be my SuperDick anytime,” Luca said, thrusting his hips from his spot at the counter where he was eating pizza.

“Um…” Con said, his gaze finding Bella adding all her new stuff to her room. He glared at Luca. “Can you PG?”

Luca squinted at him. Sam raised a brow in Luca’s direction. “Fine,” Luca huffed. “But I better get double teamed later to make up for hours missed.”

“I can shove a toy up your ass and take the remote with me,” Sam said.

“How do you expect me to be PG if I’m edging all night?” Luca whined, then looked thoughtful. “Can you? How great would that be? You can fuck me while you’re on national television. Turn up the dial to ten, baby.”

Sam sighed and tugged on his pants. “Now I get to think about you riding a buzzer all night?” He pointed up the stairs. “Bathroom, asshole. You have five minutes to bend over and lube up so I can shove something thick in there.”

“It would be even better if it were your cock,” Luca said. “Or your fist.” He squirmed in his seat but bounced up and headed up the stairs with Sam close behind.

Con shook his head and stepped away to wash all of Bella’s stuff. “Do you really love this cat bag, or can I make you a special one?” Con asked her, holding up the pink one with the fluffy white cat on it.

“Special how?” Bella asked.

“You can pick the fabric on the outside. I don’t have any cats like this, but I think I have some pink skulls or zombies.” Con planned to line the bag with Kevlar. He had a lightweight batch that added an extra layer of protection but wouldn’t stop AR gunfire. Not much would. He also planned to add a tracker to it, like he did to some of Sam and Luca’s clothes, as well as a handful of stitched runes like he’d added to the other kids’ bags, shields of the elemental type. “It’s anti-theft. So, if someone tries to steal from it, they can’t, and they can’t rip it off you because it has super strong straps.”

She brightened. “Can I carry my tablet in it?”

“Sure. I’ll add a padded pocket for that. Do you need more books on your tablet?”

She shook her head. “Lots of free books on Amazon. And Mr. Harding added a library portal. Got me registered online. Link showed me some of his favorites.”

“Wow, that was nice of them.” Con had paid little attention to Link and Bella in the backseat, but they had gotten a lot done. “Let me pull out my fabric stash and you can pick what you want.”

“Can I have cake, too?”

“Of course.”

Luca and Sam weren’t back, but Con couldn’t hear anything from upstairs. His jeans tightened at the thought of Sam bending Luca over the counter wearing that suit. They couldn’t do much, not without forcing Sam to change.

Con led Bella to her room and dug out the containers from under her bed. He stacked them up as he planned to move them under the cutting table in the living room to give her more space, but he found the one with his set of Halloween fabrics.

“These are pretty ladies,” Bella said, running her fingers over a fabric with curvy women painted in Day of the Dead style. Their dress was suggestive, but nothing overtly exposed, curves but only hints of breasts or thighs. Their faces were painted in the bright skulls of Day of the Dead tradition, meant to be macabre and sexy.

“It’s an Alexander Henry print. His stuff is all a little macabre, even his pinups.” The colors were dark with a lot of reds, and bright tones. He’d bought it on a whim, but never really found a use for it, since his lovers weren’t into pinups. It actually made him think of Kat, who would have loved the print. She had enjoyed dressing as a pinup herself, though she’d been tall and lanky just like Con.

He pulled out some zombie ones that were bright neon prints, but Bella only glanced at them. Would people get mad to see a kid with pinups on her bag? He was not good at this whole parent thing. He wanted her to have things she liked. Should he be limiting her because the world around them sexualized everything? He sighed, wishing he knew where to start. “Do you want that one?” Maybe he could fussy cut it around the faces?
