Their Universe

C hrist! The water was cold—a welcomed chill after sinful bliss with two of the most delicious men to exist. The bottom was crystal fucking clear.

The rocks were visible, and my phantoms swam in circles around me.

Sin and Saint playfully splashed me before we lay together on the mossy ground on the shore while their body heat kept me warm.

We awoke at dawn as the sunshine crept in through the trees, and we were completely dry from hours before.

We hiked back up the cliff side but took a different route I hadn’t discovered and went back to retrieve Sin and Saint’s clothing.

Saint let me wear his shirt, which was a totally sweet gesture on his part, but my feet were sore.

Sin let me jump on his back. They ended up taking turns carrying me in their arms after Saint said he wanted a turn too, which made me feel like the most valued woman in the world, considering their mad pursuit of me hours prior.

Once we made it back to the motorcycles, which they had turned off before hunting me down through the woods, I saw my dress was dirty in the mud.

I only had my long overcoat to throw on over Saint’s shirt, but the damn thing fit me like a dress.

Two sizes too fucking big for me since my man was massive.

“Get on,” Saint ordered as the engine roared so he could drive me back.

I wouldn’t argue, and Sin surprised me when he didn’t. I thought for sure an argument would break out, but he shut his mouth and let me wrap my arms around his best friend.

The ride didn’t frighten me anymore. My time in captivity grew further and further away the more I rode on the two-wheeled bike as I left my fear behind and rode with confidence.

Faith in myself and trust in the relationship growing with the men in my life who cherished me more than anything else in the world.

My phantoms wanted me to live fearlessly with them and to accept that they’d keep me safe and believe in the power of our love.

I did with all of my damn heart and soul .

My confinement, loneliness, and fear were things of the past. Sin and Saint would always be with me. The world was at my disposal, and there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do without them.

The city flew by as Saint steered through the streets without one red stop light slowing us down, and not a single sliver of anxiety blew through me with Saint in control. The wind was in my hair, streetlights illuminated the road, nothing suppressed me, and I’d go wherever they drove me.

One of my hands let go of Saint as Sin watched over me on his bike, and I reached up for the stars.

Face up toward the sky with my back arched, I let my wings go and left the past behind me.

Freer than a bird as we flew down the asphalt, and I soared high.

Even for a little while because my scars would remain, but my phantoms would always love me no matter what.

Billionaires, Mr. Cruz and Mr. Sullivan, would watch me in the shadows when they weren’t by my side, lurking and waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

I didn’t have to worry about anyone hurting me again with them around to safeguard me for the rest of my life.

I was theirs and they were mine. Predators caught in my universe. Now, always, and forever.
