Page 42 of Their Stolen Obsession (Phantoms and Obsession Duet #2)
Liv closed the door behind her, and I heard a click. Great. She locked herself in the bathroom. Again. No one could join her, watch her, or do anything with her.
“Fuck, man!” I whisper-shouted and got up off the bed. “I was this close to—”
“What? Screwing Liv without me?” Sin interrupted with his arms crossed in front of his chest. “Since when do we bone our girl without the other present? You know I always love to watch.”
I wanted to rip my goddamn hair out.
“Yes, I know that, Sin .” I put extra emphasis on his name as fury overtook me while I paced the floor.
“I wouldn’t do anything with her, you idiot.
She came on to me, and I was letting her do whatever she was going to do.
I was trying to let her open up. Liv needs to be in control.
She needs to feel in charge before we can take the next step or else this madness will never end. ”
Sin sighed, “I know. Fuck. I screwed up.”
For once, I wouldn’t argue with Sin because he fucked up.
I was onto something. Better yet, Liv had been on me, and he ruined the moment.
Screwed us both when all we wanted was Liv humping us.
I only wanted our little obsession back to how she was with her admitting her love for us.
A fucking happily ever after with the three of us and a kid.
Make that two. A little squirt from Sin and one belonging to me. A boy and a girl, preferably.
Shit. The time was half past ten. We had somewhere to be in two hours.
“I need to get dressed and eat. I’m starving.” I stopped pacing the hardwood and headed for the walk-in closet. “We have an appointment to get to.”
Sin asked, “Which one?”
“A massage appointment for Liv. Remember? I booked it days ago because I figured it might help her relax,” I explained as Sin followed me, and I grabbed my favorite suit with a tie. “Loosen her up and give her something to look forward to.”
Sin snapped his fingers .
“Then you won’t be needing this bullshit.” Sin yanked my suit out of my grasp and flung it over his shoulder.
“Hey, asshole, I was going to wear that.” I stepped toward my tossed outfit of choice, but Sin stopped me. “Sin, seriously. Move. Let me get ready.”
“Well, you can’t go wearing that crap if we are going to attend Liv’s appointment with her,” Sin announced as he reached for some hangers and pushed them aside until he found the clothes he wanted. “Here. Put this on.”
Sin handed me an outfit. Loose gray sweatpants and a muscle shirt with a hood. This was our day off, but come on! I wasn’t going for a jog unless Liv would let us run after her through the park. We loved a good chase.
“Dude. I’m not going for a run.” I shook my head. “We’re dropping Liv off and waiting for her. Simple as that.”
“No, we aren’t. Trust me. You’ll want to be wearing something comfortable when we sneak our way inside,” Sin explained with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I won’t let someone else touch our girl. We’ll be the only assholes ever to touch her again.”
Dumbfounded, I shook my head. “Wait. What?”
Sin smirked. “We’re going to hijack Liv’s appointment. ”
Seize Liv’s massage treatment. Damn. Sin was a fucking genius!
I threw the shirt over my head and popped it out of the hole with a smile. “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Sin slapped my shoulder. “Fucking brilliant, ain’t it?”
“It’s goddamn fantastic.” I threw on new briefs, pushing one leg into the sweatpants and then the other. “Let’s do it.”
“Let’s do what?” Liv asked as she stood there in ripped jeans and a crop top.
Jesus. I wanted to kiss her abdomen. I’d dip my tongue into her little belly button and she’d squirm. I could almost taste the salt on her skin.
“Get you to that massage appointment,” Sin answered quickly.
Liv narrowed her eyebrows. “That’s today? I thought the appointment was next week?”
“I got you in a few days earlier.” Sin grabbed a mug off a table with the steam rising into the air and he blew on it. “Coffee?”
Liv smiled. “Yes, please.”
I peered out the window. “We should walk. It’s fucking gorgeous outside.”
“Yes, get our girl some fresh air, sunlight, and a stroll through the city,” Sin added as he wandered into another room. “I need to change first. ”
“Okay. I’d love to. Anything to not have to stay around here.” Liv took a sip of her morning brew and swallowed. “I’ve been stuck in here for a week.”
Liv hadn’t wanted to leave. She didn’t want to go outside, and we respected her decision.
Until today. A simple nudge in the right direction to get her back to being normal again without motherfucking Sebastian ruling her life.
She was ours now, but in a completely unique environment.
Yes, we maintained control, but in a way she could have power, too.
Our dominance wouldn’t harm her, disrespect her, or tarnish her light.
With us at her side, we’d help her fulfill her destiny.
“Understandable.” I nodded and grabbed a bagel. “You want one? I make a mean bagel.”
Liv giggled. “No, thanks.”
God . I’d never grow old with laughter like Liv’s in my life forever. I’d be an old immortal motherfucker until I reached the age of one thousand years old.
“You sure?” I teased her with a raised eyebrow. “Double toasted with extra butter?”
“Yes.” Liv flung her hair over her shoulder, and my heart skipped two beats. “I got my coffee.”
I almost collapsed on the spot. Instead of dropping dead, I plopped the bagel into the toaster and pushed the button down.
I needed to distract myself from Liv, alluring me with the attractive things she did and constantly flirting with me.
Shit. She couldn’t get enough of me, and I wanted nothing more than to have my hands all over her.
I sensed she was holding herself back, and what happened on my damn bed only proved it.
Our chemistry was there, sizzling in the air and creating tension like a damn knife held to our throats.
My bagel popped up, but I pushed the button back down. Double fucking toasted, please. I hated the doughy bread texture.
“So…” I cleared my throat. “Are you excited?”
Suddenly, I was anxious. Me? Saint Sullivan nervous over a girl? Yep. Abso-fucking-lutely.
“About the walk or the massage?” she asked.
Maybe the fact that Sin and I were going to hijack the appointment and probably knock someone out. We’d also take over and touch Liv when she didn’t know. The plan was probably a bad decision, but we were good at making terrible choices. Rules didn’t apply to us.
“Both?” I shrugged.
Fuck. I was awkward.
“Definitely both. Plus, it will be nice to spend time with you,” Liv answered.
I’d love that too. Maybe more than I should because I was getting hard again.
The thought of Liv near me, not knowing I was massaging her in all the places I wanted to squeeze, knead, and caress, made me fucking horny.
My dick strained against my briefs, and if I turned around, she’d get a good view of my erection.
Fuck.
I want my bagel now, please. Anytime, toaster.
Finally, the appliance coughed up my breakfast. I shimmied over to the fridge and took out the butter. After spreading that shit on the toasted bread, I took a big bite. I had a boner to kill. “There. All ready to go,” Sin announced from behind me.
My giant stuffy had depleted.
Thanks, buddy.
I took five more huge bites, and the bagel was gone. Damn. That hit the spot.
“Took you long enough.” I dusted off the crumbs on my hands and held out my arm to Liv. “Ready to go?”
Liv smiled. “I’m all set.”
