Is that true?Etta had never said something like that before. Furthermore, what was the point of all this?
“Now, tell these people about what I used to make you do in those first six months.”
Jamie had to wet her throat before replying.I must obey. Not to mention, Etta would know if she was lying or not. “Well, aside from being your personal assistant and all the boring stuff that entailed, I had sex with you, as per our contract.”
“You can be more descriptive than that.” Something soft, yet cold, touched Jamie’s throat. Is that a…It was the end of a crop. The end of a crop!Jamie had to stop sweating. People could see it shining in the lights. “What kind of things did we do together?”
Jamie couldn’t help but swallow again. “We had sex in your office and your homes.”
“Did you do this because you couldn’t help yourself? Or because you were serving me?”
Was this a trick question? Not like Jamie could ask right now. “I was –am – your sub, ma’am. I do whatever you ask of me. If you ask me to lift my skirt in your office, I do that.”
More murmurs. Excited ones? Wait.Is this what Etta meant?Had Jamie accidentally said the right thing? Imply that Etta had women – let alonethiswoman – serving her sexually in her office? Some of these people would get off on the idea the next time they came in to discuss business. “This woman gets laid in here. I mean, of course she does, because look at her, but now I know for sure.”Without realizing it, Jamie had shared quite a bit about herself as well.
“Stand up.”
Jamie slipped off the stool and stood, not sure what to expect. Her hands were locked in front of her waist.
Etta took her arms and positioned her to the side of the stool. “Turn and bend over.”
Wait, what? What was she going to do?
It wouldn’t be too sexual, right? She wasn’t actually going to fuck her, right? Because Jamie had seen that sort of stuff happen in this club before, and she wasn’t sure she could take it!
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling numb?”
She had to regather her bearings now. “No, ma’am.”
“Then obey me.”
The curtness in her voice sent Jamie down, arms wrapping around the edge of the stool as her ass remained unceremoniously up in the air.I have never felt this vulnerable before. Not in front of so many people. This was one of the most submissive positions she could enact, and now everyone saw it.
“Tell me the truth, Jamie.” The crop caressed her cheek, but did not threaten to strike her there.I’m not falling for the niceties. “Did you seduce me to take my money?”
“What? No!” Jamie shook against the stool. “I didn’t seduce you at all!You came on tomefirst!”
She got a warning tap on the shoulder. “Calm down. I merely asked you a simple question. No need to get so worked up over it.”
“I’m… sorry, ma’am.”
“So, you swear that you never had any intention to use me for my money? You did know how much money I had. I made sure you were well taken care of during our contract.”
“I’m not gonna lie, it was nice. The dinners, the clothes, the locations…” Jamie tried not to get worked up. “I didn’t care about any of it in the end. If you severed ties with me like you did with all of your other girlfriends, whatever. It wasn’t until I fell in love with you that I thought about being with you for the long term. The money you were going to give me for our contract was more than enough. I didn’t care then, and I don’t care now.”
“You don’t care now, you say? Not even with the house in the hills and the penthouse in the city? Not even with your own Town Car and a driver to take you anywhere you want? Not even with unlimited access to my credit cards, so you can take your friends out for fun or buy whatever you want?”
“When have I ever given you reason to believe I’m using you for your money?”
Another warning tap. “I’m not saying anything like that, Jamie. I want to confirm your intentions. I’m supposed to be marrying you in six weeks. Would be a fine thing if you turned around after the wedding and showed your true colors. So many people seem to think you’re going to do that.”
Etta lightly smacked her on the top of her ass. Jamie bristled, wondering where she was going with this. “I would never. I would rather leave you without a penny to my name if it meant keeping my dignity. So what if I like the things you bring to the table? If you lost all your money tomorrow, I would go with you anywhere. I’m not marrying you for your money. I’m marrying you because you’ve proven yourself to be a good woman who willalways be there, who will always protect me no matter what… ma’am.”
“I have to say, you make a compelling case.” Etta stepped behind her, hand clutching the hem of her dress. “Yet there’s still one thing you need to come clean about.”
Jamie blinked away the encroaching blindfold from her eyes. “Pray do tell, ma’am.”
“Did you, or did you not enjoy what we did together, even before you claim to have fallen in love with me?”
