The Hidden Journal of John Dee

W eeks have passed since the binding ritual, and the strange distortions in time have ceased. It would seem the spell held, our breach has been sealed. Yet I fear it is no more than a temporary patch, a fragile veil drawn over a wound still festering beneath.

The new year has arrived, and with it, a sense of renewed determination.

Edward is finally feeling well enough to attempt another scrying session.

His recovery has been slow, but I can see strength returning to him, both in body and mind.

I have been waiting for this moment; his connection to the divine will be crucial for us to move forward with the search for a permanent solution to the rip in time.

I can only hope that this time, we will uncover the answers we desperately need.

During Edward’s recovery, I have spent the last several weeks studying and learning all that I can about the Nephilim.

I’ve spent countless hours in various libraries, digging through old texts.

I sought out anything that might shed light on these mysterious creatures.

The information was scarce, and some of the texts were difficult to access, so I had to visit several libraries, consulting various priests and scholars who could point me to the right sources.

In my search, I turned once again to the ancient scriptures, especially Genesis 6:1–4, where it speaks of the “sons of God” who took wives from the daughters of men.

This passage marks the birth of the Nephilim, beings of extraordinary strength and renown.

These giants, it seems, were a product of a union between celestial beings and humans, and they were said to be part of a time of great wickedness before the Flood.

According to Josephus in Antiquities of the Jews (Book 1, Chapter 3), the Nephilim were destroyed by the deluge, a divine reckoning for their corrupt influence on mankind.

But the story doesn’t end there. I found additional details in the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch 7:1–6), where the Watchers, celestial beings who once walked the Earth, descended and imparted forbidden knowledge to humanity, and when they lay with the humans, it led to the birth of the Nephilim.

Though these beings were destroyed in the Great Flood, their spirits, according to Jubilees 5:1–2, were not entirely banished.

Instead, they became demons, lingering in the shadows and continuing to influence mankind in ways unseen.

From what I can gather, the Nephilim are incredibly rare, likely wiped out in the Great Flood as the scriptures tell, but there must be at least one surviving descendant. But how to find them remains a mystery.

Edward has been resting in preparation for his next scrying session, and I pray that it will reveal the next step in our search. If all goes well, I hope to have answers soon, answers that may lead us to one of these beings, and ultimately, a way to destroy the Astral Synchronum for good.
