Jersey had me fucked up if he thought he was gonna trick off with another bitch in my face. I had something for him and that hoe when I saw her ass again.
“You straight?” This dude I was messing with named Kirby asked.
“I’m good. I can’t believe that nigga was tricking on bitches like he ain’t got a whole ass kid.”
“Some niggas just suckas, baby. You have to accept that.”
“If you say so. How long you in town for this time?”
“Not long. I came to check on a few things, and I’ll be gone again. I’ll be here a week at the most.”
“Well, I guess we need to start now and utilize all of our time.” I started undressing when I heard what sounded like my front door coming off the hinges.
“The fuck?” Kirby and I said in unison.
I got up and went to the door and snatched it open to see my baby daddy standing on the other end with a callous look on his face.
“The fuck is you on, Shan? You show yo’ ass and cause a fucking scene, and for what!” he growled, standing over me. “You know I ain’t the nigga to pull that shit on, so what the fuck was you thinking?”
Before I could answer, Kirby emerged from my room, voice booming with authority.
“We got a problem in here?” he asked, causing Jersey to look up at him.
“Nigga, we ain’t got shit. Take your ass back where the fuck you came from because this ain’t your issue, homie.”
“Bae, you good, or you want me to handle this lil’ nigga?” Kirby inquired, prompting Jersey to pull his gun.
“The fuck you gonna do, nigga?” Jersey spewed. “Who the fuck are you to tell me how to handle my baby mama?”
“I’m her nigga, and you need to put that gun up before I get mad in this bitch.”
“Get mad, nigga.” Jersey removed the safety, and I had to intervene because my baby daddy was really a fucking psycho.
“Jersey! Put that shit up. Your son lives here!” I argued, then turned my attention to Kirby. “Babe, chill. Let me handle this.”
“Hurry that shit up.”
I waited until I knew Kirby was out of earshot before I turned my attention back to Jersey.
“The fuck is wrong with you, Jersey? You can trick off on bitches but get mad when I entertain another nigga?” I spat, angrily.
“Fuck you and that nigga. I don’t give a fuck what you do with your pussy.
I came here to check you about that shit you did at the club.
I ain’t your nigga, and you ain’t my bitch.
What the fuck I do and who the fuck I do it with is none of your fucking concern.
Jersey Jamal Watson, Jr., is your concern.
Don’t get that shit twisted again,” he hissed.
“Oh, and since your sister gonna be living here, she needs to be paying bills in this bitch. I ain’t taking care of another grown ass muthafucka.
If you think about moving that nigga in, then my only obligation will be Jerz. ”
“You can’t make demands. This is my house!” I was angry as hell that he was threatening to cut me off.
“That you don’t do shit to maintain, and sucking my dick don’t count.”
“Fuck you, Jersey!” I shouted at his back as he was leaving.
“I’ll pass. Tell your nigga he better hope I’m in a good mood the next time I see his bitch ass.” He left, slamming the door behind him. I went back into the room, and Kirby was ending a call.
“You good?” he asked.
“Yeah. Who was that?” I questioned, only because he ended it so abruptly.
“Business. Why didn’t you tell me that nigga was your baby daddy?”
“Because it’s none of your concern, that’s why. Why does it matter anyway?” I was curious about the difference it made to why I didn’t mention Jersey. Did this nigga wanna fuck me or him?
“Chill out. I just don’t like being sidetracked. He seems to be a lil’ off.”
“You let me worry about Jersey. I can handle him.” I ended the conversation because I didn’t like the direction it was headed. Jersey was off limits to anybody. Niggas or hoes. It didn’t matter.

I woke up the next morning and handled my hygiene before going to look for Tasha. I needed to talk to her about what Jersey said. I wasn’t about to let her ruin my shit, sister or not. I went into the kitchen and saw her at the stove cooking what I could assume was breakfast.
“Oh, you cooking today,” I observed as I rounded the island that separated the kitchen from the dining area.
“Shit, Shan! You scared me.” She gasped, placing her hand over her chest. “Yes. I decided to fix breakfast this morning. It’s enough for your guest. What you think Jersey gonna say when he finds out that you had another man over here?
You know he thinks he’s the king of the world.
” Tasha finished her comment with an eye roll.
“I’m not worried about that. What I am worried about, though, is him telling me that if you’re gonna be staying here, you need to pay bills.”
“What? How is it I have to pay bills when he already does?”
“He pays the bills for Jerz and me. He can’t foot the bill for you, too.
So, you have to hurry up and fix things with Eric or find a place.
I can’t jeopardize my son’s well-being like that.
” I stood before Tasha, and she looked like she wanted to pounce on me at any moment.
She could be mad all she wanted. I meant what I said.
“You mean ruin things for you. That’s real messed up, Shan. I guess you think he can continue to pay your bills all while you fuck another nigga.”
“What I do is none of your business. You heard what I said, and that’s it.
You got thirty days to figure the shit out.
After that, it’s all on you to do what it is that you have to do.
” I walked out the kitchen, leaving Tasha’s ass right there.
I hated to put my sister out, but it was her or me, and I was always gonna choose me.
