I slept like a newborn baby fresh out of the womb after being blessed with the best pussy I had ever had in my life. I guess I was fresh out of the womb too, and damn if I didn’t miss it already. I woke up before the sun came up feeling like I could run a marathon.

The softness of Iyla’s body kept me confined to the bed for another twenty minutes before I knew I had to get moving. There was a hardware store near her that opened at six in the morning. I drug myself away from her soft curves so that I could go get the motion lights and camera for her back yard.

I’d noticed that her grass was getting high too. I checked her garage and found a lawn mower. I knew that I had to move fast because she was going to try to stop me if she knew what I was doing. I went to get the light first.

Once my mission was complete, there was no need for me or anyone else to sneak up in her yard on stealth mode. It only made me realize how easily somebody else could do the same thing. I couldn’t have that, so I was up at six thirty in the morning installing that light.

As soon as the camera I ordered came, I would add it too. Although I was the source of her fear, Iyla didn’t know that. I needed her to feel safe. Now that Iyla was letting me in, I had to do everything I could to keep her in my life.

As much as I hated to leave her, I needed to get home and pack for our road trip. I could barely remember the last time I had gone to the beach. Not that the opportunity never came, I just didn’t like the beach. The sand and seagulls ruined it for me every time.

I was crazy about Iyla though. Whatever she wanted to do I would do just to make her smile. I was over the moon about her coming with me on my trip in the first place. I wasn’t going to fuck it up by telling her that I hated the beach. As long as she was there with me, I would go anywhere.

I made it home and went straight to the shower to get the grass and sweat from my morning yard work off me.

I missed my baby already. I couldn’t wait to take her out and show her a good time.

Once I was in the bathroom, I turned the water on before quickly stripping out of my clothes and stepping in the tub.

As I rinsed the dirt and grime down the drain, I caught a glimpse of the moon I had tattooed on my wrist a year into my sentence.

I’d loved Iyla from the moment we met. Loving that girl was effortless once she was back in my life.

If I had to bare my soul and be serious about therapy, I would do it.

If I had to control my temper, it was done. I just wanted her.

I’d booked a vacation rental on the beach for the weekend.

I had to send the owner a message and let him know that I wouldn’t make it until Saturday and lose the money I’d paid for Friday night.

Just sleeping next to Iyla made it worth it.

The rest I got with those warm thighs on me while I laid on her chest slobbering like hell was enough to make me say fuck the whole trip. Thankfully, she was going with me.

I didn’t linger long in the shower before getting out and getting dressed.

I grabbed an overnight bag and tossed in everything I thought I would need for the next couple of days.

I placed a pickup order for the groceries that I would need tonight.

By the time I got there, it would be ready for pick up.

I made sure my trusty trunk was set up before rolling it out to the truck.

Once my bag and trunk were in the truck, I went back inside to look for my phone.

I found it on the bathroom counter and picked it up so I could call Iyla and let her know I was on the way.

I’d been gone for over an hour. Hopefully breakfast wasn’t getting cold.

“Hey. I was just putting the biscuits in the oven. You on the way?”

“You missed me?” I asked her.

“Yes, Keywan. Are you on the way?”

“Yeah, I wanted to make sure I had everything together. You should have let me cook while you packed, baby. Make sure you bring a bathing suit.”

“I got it, Keywan. I can manage breakfast and packing at the same time believe it or not.”

I laughed. “I just don’t want to give you any excuse to back out.”

“I’m coming, baby. I promise,” she assured me.

“Hm, I love it when you call me baby.” I simpered.

“Stop playing on the phone and come on before I eat without you,” she advised.

“Yes, ma’am. Daddy’s on the way.”

“Bye, silly,” she said, ending the call.

Since I had everything I needed, I locked up and headed out. I hopped in my truck and tore out for Iyla’s house. I was so excited about spending time with her that I didn’t give a damn about eating. She had gone through the trouble of making me breakfast though. The least I could do was eat.

My hand rested as close as possible to the warmth between Iyla’s thighs as we entered the third hour of a four-hour drive. I hated long drives but loved to travel. My work afforded me the chance to travel all over the country if I needed to.

This was considered a short trip. Sometimes I had to fly. Even with the monotony of driving, Iyla singing along to every song gave the drive a boost of excitement. Her riding shotgun was enough to make the ride tolerable.

“You sure you don’t want to DJ? All I listen to is love songs. It seems like my playlist is so bomb until I listen to it around other people.”

“Your taste in music is fine, Iyla. I told you I’m an R&B guy. Even if I wasn’t, it’s ladies’ choice.”

“I thought you were just saying that to impress me.”

“When have I ever said something just to impress you?” I asked.

“The jury’s still deliberating on that one.”

“Well they can go ahead and give their verdict. I don’t know what would impress you, baby girl. That’s why I stick to the truth.”

“I hear you.”

“You love saying that. I’m starting to wonder if you really hear me.”

“I do. I’ve heard everything you’ve had to say. After careful consideration of it all, I’m sitting right here going on this trip that I’m still nervous about, but I’m here,” she stated.

“You’re right. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. I’m excited about going to the beach. How much longer do we have?”

“A little under an hour. We should be on the beach by two.”

“Yay,” she said, doing a little dance in her seat.

Making her happy made my day. It was crazy how I sat there thinking of what else I could do to make her smile today.

“You want to stop for food?” I quizzed.

“No, sir. I don’t want to be all bloated in my bathing suit.”

“Baby, you’re worried about the wrong thing. You’re going to look good no matter what.”

“Let you tell it,” she said, rolling her eyes.

“That’s all that should matter.”

“My opinion matters too. I don’t want to be fat and full on the beach. We can eat after.”

“Well I’m starving. As soon as we get to our exit, I’m getting something to eat. I hate to eat in front of you, but I would hate to fall out on you even more.”

“That would be evil. You know I’m hungry.”

“That’s why your ass needs to eat. I didn’t ask if you were hungry just to be asking. I’m hungry myself. If you were too, then we would have jumped off as soon as possible and grabbed something quick.”

“Fine let’s get something. You’re not supposed to eat less than thirty minutes before swimming.”

“I’m not worried about that because I’m not swimming anyway.”

“You suck! You have to swim with me,” she demanded.

“Lady, there are sharks in that water.”

“I thought you were the biggest shark.”

“On land. That is those people’s natural habitat. I have enough sense to know I’m no match for Jaws.”

She laughed. “And you called me scary.”

I shrugged. “Call it what you want. When we leave, I’m still gonna have all of my limbs.”

She giggled a little before leaning against the window. “We can only hope.”

“Let us pray.” I laughed.

“Ooo, Build A Burger. I’ve been wanting to try them.”

“Well, that’s where we’ll go.”
