"What?" said Coop. "I'm not doing anything sexy. You know I'm not."

"No, just—your shoulders look good in that jacket. And, like, your eyes." Jimmy turned back to face forward quickly and started the engine.

"Are you blushing?" Coop asked, grinning as he leaned closer to poke at Jimmy's shoulder. He felt at the top of theworld with this renewed evidence of Jimmy's interest. And, to be blunt, his carnal interest. If Jimmy couldn't keep his mouth shut about how attractive he found Coop while they were on the way to visit his parents, he must want Coop pretty bad.

Will they guess that? Well, it's not my problem. This was his idea!

He was pretty sure he could maintain a casual air towards Jimmy during thevisit, and it was unlikely that Jimmy would stare at him that way in front of his parents and other relatives.

"I don't blush!" Jimmy said hotly.

"Of course you do. I like it, though."

Jimmy bit his lip and drove with a look of frustrated concentration. He held the wheel tightly. Coop figured he'd better not say anything else, though privately he wondered if Jimmy was really as capableof hiding this from his pack as he thought he was. After all, they knew him better than Cooper did—and Coop wasn't fooled at all.
