Page 72 of Starborn Husbands
“What did you learn?” he says.
“That no good deed goes unfunished.”
He sighs, helping me stand up instead of going another round with the brush. He wants to, doesn’t he? His fingers brush against my skin when he’s helping me pull my pants up, and I get some of the good shivers and more of those hyper-aware tingles.
“I knew you were testing me,” he says. “This is me following through. I’ll always follow through for you, babe. You need that.”
Dammit, I know what this is a prelude to and that’s whatever else he plans on punishing me with. “You don’t have to follow through oneverylittle thing. I won’t do it again.”
“You will do it again.”
“No faith in me.”
“I know you, that’s all. I have one more punishment in store for you, but I’ll wait till after wedding day.”
Joy.
He pulls me between his legs and his gorgeous eyes succeed in distracting me from my throbbing ass.
“Kiss me again, babe, please?” I ask.
We’ve got nothing else to do in this room all day, he’d better keep me entertained.
He rubs a thumb over my cheek. “I’ll kiss you anytime you want.”
Yanking me to him by the waistband of my trousers, he pulls me on top of him, and only because he’s Zhang, I know that he’s not trying to tease the shit out of me.
Doesn’t mean he isn’t. My poor dick’s crying cum tears while my ass aches, and I try to figure out how I get myself into these situations.
CHAPTERSIXTEEN
Treyu
At the ass crack of dawn, Zhang and I were ripped away from each other. Literally. This time when I woke up, he was there. We kissed. I tried to get him to play with my cock. He refused. We snuggled for five minutes and then an army of wedding sadists barged in to take us away.
They tried to dress me in something pink. I told them all to fuck off and added where they could stuff their frilly pink whatever the fuck. I am so getting a paddle to my ass for that one later, but it will have been worth it.
Gemini came to my rescue, suggesting white leather. White is an Earth tradition, but black (my preference) is forbidden at a royal star wedding. I’m not a colorful guy unless it’s my language.
The wedding will happen on the palace grounds by the water.
Everyone is here. All the guardians. My family. Zhang’s family and half of our nebula. The timeline is too rushed to invite the standard crowd from around the galaxy, which would include important members of the galactic embassy, and royalty from other planets. I don’t think the king wants them here anyway.
This is not how I pictured my wedding. I didn’t picture any wedding at all. At least this is an arranged marriage with someone I know. I’ve attended weddings of couples who were only introduced for the first time on the day of their wedding.
We don’t do the walking down the aisle thing like humans do, but I join Zhang in the center of the union circle.
They dressed Zhang in red to match his hair. The rims of his irises glow orange around the brown. He was fitted with a cape and I’m jealous that I didn’t get one. We both get crowns, but where mine feels ridiculous, his gives him a stately ambiance.
The king steps into the circle to remove my bracelet. “This goes right back on as soon as this part’s over.”
Yeah, yeah. But I only think it, I’m not stupid enough to say it out loud.
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
My star trips and trills through my veins, bursting out of the darkness. It seeks the place on my neck and across my chest where my sunstar used to be, and when it doesn’t find it there, it reaches for Zhang.
What the fuck?
