THIRTEEN

Seraphina

T wo hundred years ago, Seraphina Chandler lived through a previous incarnation, one that had been kept from her as her soul was reborn as a celestial.

She crossed paths with a gruff tavern owner named Jasper Conrad, and his choice ended her innocent life in the most brutal way.

That moment sealed their fate in a time bubble.

They were all connected in a spiritual way. Edmond, who wooed her sister using a different guise stole her innocence. He robbed Seraphina of hers, though she retained her wings.

Mara held her reservations against her relationship with Jas, but agreed to keep her hostility in check for Seraphina’s sake. Brock remained vigilant, attempting to track the duke through his line.

“Are you ready for your surprise?” Jasper asked.

“Of course,” she enthused.

The long drive gave her time to reflect and think as he’d covered her eyes with his tie once they’d left work. They’d returned to work once Jasper’s office was redecorated, but now, they were on a one month leave of absence, so they could travel to his favorite places in the world.

“We’re here,” he said as the car stopped. “You can remove your blindfold.”

She eagerly did so and couldn’t believe her eyes. She blinked back tears as they climbed out of the car.

“How?”

“Do you like it?”

“Oh, Jasper,” she squealed and jumped into his arms. “This is the home I saw in my visions.”

“I just closed on the house yesterday.” He held up a single key on a ring. “It’s fully furnished, but we can decorate it however you’d like. There are rooms for your siblings if they decide to visit.”

“And kids?”

“As many as you’d like, angel.”

Her face brightened as she threw her arms around his neck.

“I love you, Jasper.”

He growled and pressed his lips against hers as though asking her to prove it.

She responded to him and played with his beard.

He scooped her up in his arms and walked up the wooden porch steps.

The wide porch even had a swing in the far corner as it wrapped around the side.

The other end of the porch had a screen which would allow them to sit outside and be shielded from some elements and insects.

Jas slipped the key in the lock and pushed the door open.

“Welcome home, angel,” he said as he carried her over the threshold.

The farmhouse had pinewood floors and twelve foot ceilings with heavy moldings. The living room had a big, charming fireplace. Large windows allowed plenty of light to come in, despite Jasper’s sensitivity.

“It’s perfect!” she exclaimed. “I love it.”

“I love you, angel.”

Her heart galloped at his admission. Only someone who loved her would make her dreams come true.

“Do you trust me?” he asked.

“I do,” she whispered against his lips.

His eyes darkened, a sign she’d learned to recognize. He was hungry. The first time he’d bit her, he worked himself into a frenzy, but since they solidified their bond, it was no longer an issue. He drank just enough to make her head buzz.

“Want to see the bedroom?” He raised his eyebrow suggestively.

She nodded.

“Use your words, angel,” he growled.

“Yes.”

“Good girl.”

She shrieked as he raced up the stairs. His footfalls were so quick the floors didn’t have time to creak. He threw open the door to their master bedroom with an attached library and bathroom. Jas dropped her on the large, four poster bed.

Seraphina admired Jasper’s muscular frame. Hard labor, not a gym, built his solid body. He exposed his proud cock.

“Like what you see?” He languidly stroked himself.

“Yes, sir.”

“I can’t wait to bury myself in your pussy. You can get as loud as you want here, no one is next door to hear you.”

He climbed on top of her and kissed her. Her hair spread around her like a halo and her eyes shimmered as her divine light shone through.

“Seraphina.” Her name slipped off his tongue, laced with desire and something deeper.

“Jasper,” she whispered his name like a hymn.

He was a creature of the night, cursed with eternal thirst, and she, a celestial being, found a way to be together.

She shivered as he caressed her wings. They remained sensitive after being broken, but she trusted his touch.

For a moment, they were alone in the universe. Time stopped as they tasted each other. Darkness and light mingled, creating a montage of new colors.

Their lips found each other as their passions flared. The kiss consumed them as shivers of anticipation jolted through her. Seraphina moaned as Jas’s hands removed her clothing.

Her core slickened as he lowered his hips, rubbing his cock along her lips.

“Condom?” she squeaked.

Jas frowned as he met her eyes. “Why would you ask about that now?”

“Mara told me to make sure the guy I was with used one.”

He wrapped his hand around her neck and snarled, “I’m not any man. I am your mate. I’ve used a condom with every partner. With you, my little angel, I never will. How will I give you children if I don’t come inside you? Do you remember your safeword?”

“Mercy,” she moaned as he rolled his hips.

“How does that feel? This cock is all yours. Only you could satisfy me. Tell me that you’re mine.”

“I’m yours,” she cried.

He took her hand and placed it against his chest. His heart beat furiously beneath her palm. “Don’t ever doubt that this belongs to you and only you. I’ve never loved a woman before you. And if anything were to happen to you, I would cease to exist.”

“Let’s pray it never comes to that.”

“Agreed.”

He sucked her lower lip into his mouth. As he adjusted himself.

“Are you ready to sin with me?”

“I’m ready to make love to you.”

He surged forward, piercing her barrier. Her ethereal light burned through her eyes.

“It’s all right, angel. Just relax.”

He pulled back slightly and pushed forward again. He slowly repeated the movement until he was fully seated within her.

They were no longer a vampire and an angel. They were two souls who found each other, and together, they were whole.

His hand wound in her hair while the other rested on her hip, pushing her into the mattress. He rested his forehead against hers as he rocked.

“How’s that?”

“More,” she moaned.

He picked up speed, pumping in and out of her as her body trembled. She bit her lip as the pleasure became insurmountable.

“Don’t hold back,” he growled. “I want to hear you.”

He lowered his hand between their bodies and circled her clit. Her eyelids fluttered as his tempo changed, playing her body like a master pianist. She sang as the melody reached its crescendo.

Except, he wouldn’t let her fall over the peak. Jas pushed against her legs, forcing her to tilt her hips higher, allowing him to push deeper.

“I don’t know how much longer I’ll last if your pussy keeps squeezing my cock like that, angel.” His dirty words sent shivers down her spine. “I want to suck your blood as I come.”

“Please, sir. I want it.”

“You truly are the perfect mate. Remember your safeword.”

He wrapped his hand around her throat and rubbed his thumb against her pulse point.

“You radiate warmth. It’s not just your body that is beautiful—but your very essence. I’m humbled by you. I pray that never changes. I yearn for you as much as I thirst for you.”

“I’m yours, Jasper. Take me.” She tilted her head, expecting him to bite into her neck, but he didn’t. He bit her chest, right over her heart.

His hips pounded furiously as he sucked, causing waves to break through her. She sobbed as she squirted her juices over his cock. His fingers dug into her skin as he thrust repeatedly, bucking against her.

Her cries of ecstasy surrounded them as he suckled on her breast. Her lips tingled and she became lightheaded.

“Yellow,” she gasped.

He pulled away from the wound he caused.

“Green.”

He pulled out and flipped her over. He pushed her chest into the mattress and lifted her hips before thrusting into her with a single stroke.

“Oh,” she moaned.

He covered her back with his chest as he slammed against her backside. His hips threatened to bruise her ass as he continued moving against her.

“Come for me again,” he commanded.

“Yes,” she cried as he played with her clit.

He buried himself inside her and roared his release.

They collapsed breathlessly against the sheets. She wrapped her wing around him as she laid her head on his chest.

“How do you feel?” he asked as he played with her hair.

“I’m perfect.” She smiled softly. “Thank you.”

“For what?”

“For loving me.”

He lifted her chin with his finger.

“Don’t you ever thank me for that. You deserve so much more. I should be thanking you. You saved me, more than once. You opened my shriveled heart. I don’t deserve you.”

Love wasn’t perfect. There were obstacles, and Edmond out in the real world. But this lazy afternoon was theirs.

The angel closed her eyes, allowing his heartbeat to lull her to sleep. What started as an impossible mission turned into mutual hunger. Their blood bound them, but it was their souls that would keep them in the light.
