So what happens when I need to bathe?” She held up her palms. “I’m not trying to sound ungrateful or start an argument, sir. I’m justcurious.”

“I know. The jewels have all been treated with a protective nano-coating, so they won’t get any kind of film on them when you shower. They’ll alwayssparkle.”

She nodded and turned to stare at her reflection again. “What about the design?” sheasked.

“What do youmean?”

“I mean… you plan on keeping me for my whole life, don’t you?” sheasked.

“Yes.”

“Won’t people think it’s strange if I always wear the exact same piece ofjewelry?”

“My family owns a lot of priceless jewels, so I can have different collars made if necessary. But it shouldn’t matter. People see you as somewhat of a fashion icon, given your status, so they’ll probably just see it as part of your signature style once they get used to it. You might even start atrend.”

She nodded. “Oh. That makes sense,sir.”

“I told you when I took you—I’ve thought of everything.” I smiled and jerked my head in the direction of the bed. “There’s another gift for you in that box. Go and getit.”

Willow walked back over to the bed and peered inside the box. “I don’t seeanything.”

“Take off the toplayer.”

Her brows furrowed as she stared at the shiny crystal and silver object nestled at the bottom of the box. “Sorry, sir,” she said in a timid tone, glancing back up at me. “I don’t understand what thisis.”

“What does it looklike?”

She gingerly picked it up and turned it over in one hand. “This end looks like arose.”

I smiled. “Pretty, isn’t it? I had it made just foryou.”

“Is it some sort ofsculpture?”

I chuckled at her naïveté. “No. It’s a butt plug. You’re going to wear it tonight while we’re atdinner.”

“A butt plug?” Her skin immediately turned ashen, and her hands started shakingagain.

“Yes.”
