I groan in contentment as I stretch my legs out and tighten my hold on Toby’s waist.

“Morning, baby,” he damn near growls, and it makes my entire body erupt in tingles.

“Hey,” I whisper, looking up at him.

I’m pretty sure that any sane person would have run last night. After he explained once more about Jonas and how I found myself smack bam in the middle of his life, he went on to tell me a little more about the life he leads, although I’m sure he kept the stories on the lighter end of the spectrum. As much as I might want to know every dark and dirty secret he holds within him, I’m also grateful that he didn’t just spew it all.

I know who he is now. He’s let me see into some of the darkness he hides in his soul. I figure I don’t need everything. Not right now, at least.

“Hey, Demon.” The smile that curls at his lips makes my stomach tumble and my heart soar. “How are you feeling?”

“Uh… thoroughly fucked,” I say lightly.

He barks out a laugh that echoes around the room, and my own smile grows at the happiness I find on his face.

“That wasn’t exactly what I meant, but I’m glad I was able to achieve it.”

My cheeks heat as I think back to the events of the previous night. To our little fuck fest before he started confessing his truths that was really only a starter for what the rest of our night held.

“It was a pretty epic night.”

He nods, staring down at me where I rest on his chest as if I belong.

“You didn’t run,” he says, cupping my cheek and caressing my skin with his calloused thumb.

“You thought I would?” I ask, hating that his doubt in me hurts despite the fact that it’s exactly what I did do last time. I thought I’d made my intentions clear last night. Clearly, though, Toby’s insecurities about where my head is at still reign strong.

He shrugs. “I think it’s pretty obvious that you should.”

“Meh, I’ve never really been one to follow the rules.”

“Thank fuck for that,” he laughs, flipping us so I’m beneath him and the thickness of his hard cock presses against my thigh.

“You still want more?” I tease, rubbing against him.

“Damn right I do. I can’t get e-fucking-nough, baby.”

Dragging my nails up his back, I moan as he shudders and groans in need.

“Good. Me neither. Remind me why I didn’t leave again.”

He dips his head to my neck and makes me cry out, sucking on the sensitive skin beneath my ear.

In only minutes I’m panting for him and he’s pushing inside me once more.

“Oh shit,” I gasp in shock. “That’s…” He stares at me in horror at the prospect of hurting me. “Tender,” I confess.

“Fuck. I’ll stop.”

He pulls back and I quickly move, digging my heels into his lower back.

“Don’t you dare,” I growl, holding him in place with every ounce of strength I have. “Just take it slow, yeah?”

His eyes hold mine, the darkness within his blue depths making my heart ache for him, but then they crinkle at the edges and the softest smile plays on his face.

“You want me to make love to you, baby?” he asks.
