“I desperately want to meet her.”

“I think you’d get on like a house on fire. If Jodie comes back to me, maybe I’ll let it happen.”

“Let it, pfft,” she scoffs. “Jodie and me are like this,” she says, crossing her fingers. “My new sister-in-law will introduce me to her bestie.”

“Don’t tempt fate, Stel.”

“She’s coming back to you. Trust me.”

“So she did say something,” I urge.

“Nope. I could just sense it.”

“Fucking clairvoyant now, huh?” I ask, pushing from the sofa and pocketing my phone.

“Where are you going?”

“Heading upstairs to see our resident Casanova. I’m sure you can make yourself useful before we have to leave. I bet Seb is lonely right now.”

“He’s showering,” she says, following me toward the door.

“He’s naked and you’re here with me. What have you done with my sister?”

“I’m more than happy to storm in and let him fuck my brains out against the shower wall. It sure wouldn’t be the first time,” she says, amusement filling her tone.

“You’re a ho, little sister.”

“Aw, you love me really, big bro.”

“You know I do.”

Wrapping my arm around her shoulder, I drop a kiss to her temple before delivering her back to her flat and then jogging up the stairs to Nico’s penthouse.

Pressing my hand to the scanner, I let myself in and race toward the living room right as a shrill female voice I recognise fills the flat.

“That’s it. You’re such a fucking bad boy.” I snort a laugh, knowing all too well that I’m not about to walk in on Nico balls deep in some girl.

“You fucking know it, baby,” he grunts before a loud moan rips through the air.

“Spending some personal time with your favourite girl?” I ask, shamelessly walking in on him with his preferred porn star still taking it up the arse on his massive flat screen. He quickly tucks himself back into his sweats and wipes himself down with his discarded shirt.

“If you wanted to watch, Tobes, you only had to ask. I know it’s been a dry few days for you. Get me good and drunk and I might even let you take advantage of me.”

“I ain’t that fucking desperate,” I mutter, falling onto the other sofa, confident I’m not about to get his jizz stains on my arse. “Anyway,” I say, pinning him with a serious look. “Were you ever going to tell me about your Valentine’s night?”

“Well, the fact that I haven’t told you thus far probably answers your question.”

I shake my head at him. Nico always kisses and tells, so the fact that it’s been over a week and he hasn’t so much as uttered a word about it tells me more than I think he wants me to know.

“I can’t believe I was home, lonely and miserable and you were having it off with my girl’s best friend and you didn’t even tell me.”

“I fucking knew she’d spill,” he mutters. “Can’t fucking trust chicks.”

“She didn’t tell me actually, Stella did.”

“Oh great.” Getting up, he heads for the kitchen and pulls a beer out of the fridge.

“We’re working tonight,” I remind him when he cracks the top and damn near drinks the whole thing in one go.
