Quietly, I climbed out of bed and walked down the hallway, my feet padding softly across the hardwood floor.
The light was on in the room next to ours, and I peeked inside to see Elio right where I guessed he would be.
He was shirtless, sitting in the rocking chair, holding our daughter against his chest, and singing softly to her.
I smiled as I took in the scene.
Our baby was only three months old.
We were tired and sleep-deprived, but happy.
So happy.
Elio was everything my father wasn’t.
He was patient and kind to our daughter. And she absolutely had him wrapped around her little fingers.
Elio's voice slowly drifted off when the song ended, before he looked up at me. My smile widened, and he patted his lap.
I made my way over and climbed on, wrapping my arms around his neck and looking down at this perfect little angel we had created together.
“You didn’t have to get up. It’s not time for a feeding yet. She was just getting a little fussy.”
“You’re up,” I said.
“Yes,” he said. “But I function on less sleep than you do.” He frowned as he took in my face. “I don’t like the bags under your eyes.”
I shrugged. “It’s a requirement after having a child.”
He let out a small sigh. “Still.”
I looked back at our daughter, who took after her father, and was looking more and more like him with each passing day, before turning back to my husband.
“Thank you.”
“For what, baby?”
“For being you. For giving me everything I have ever dreamed about.”
“You don’t ask for much,” he said softly.
“This is all I want. For our family to be happy and safe. For you to stay by my side until we’re old and gray. And just… just for this.”
He leaned up and kissed me. “And that’s all I want, too.”
Lilah made a small sound, and we both turned to look at her. She was staring up at us with this fascinated look on her face that always made my heart expand with love. I never thought I could love anyone more than Elio. But I was happy to be proven wrong.
“We’re going to be fine,” I said.
He nodded in agreement, even though we knew how unpredictable life was—even more so with who Elio was andwhat he did. But in this moment, with my little family, I truly believed we were going to be fine.

Seven Years Later
Isa let outa small moan as her fingers clutched my hair, pulling on it.
I smiled against her soft, wet skin before moving my mouth back to her sweet little pussy once more, taking in the taste of her.
