I AM NOT GETTING INVOLVED
IMOGEN
Three days into Cam working nights and I'm craving release.
I knew this would happen after we've been fucking non-stop for three weeks, but I'd thought I'd be able to handle it.
Since we started whatever the hell this is, I've not played with Sebastian or Annika.
But now that he's not around to give me my daily fix, I'm climbing the walls.
Imogen
Any chance of us seeing each other today? What time do you finish?
Cam
Sorry, I ended up doing overtime cause it was a busy night and only just falling into bed. I start at six. When do you finish work?
I groan as I glare at my phone.
"What's up?" Annika asks, flicking through a magazine as she sits on the couch in our office.
She's dressed in her lingerie as she's between clients, and it's not helping my current state with her perfect breasts on display.
"Cam just started working nights for the next two weeks, which means, other than his two days off, we won't get to see each other."
Annika smirks. "And now you're horny?"
"Shut up," I reply, dropping my phone on the desk after replying to Cam that I don't finish til seven.
She closes the magazine and sits forward. "You guys aren't exclusive, right?" I shake my head. "I'm free right now and would happily fuck you."
I smile. "I know you would, and I love you for it. But I don't know... I mean, he knows about my arrangement with Sebastian, and that you and I play together too, but it feels like... I don't know, like I'd be being unfaithful if I haven't talked to him about it first."
Her expression makes it obvious she doesn't see why it's such a big deal. "Okay... so send him a message and say you need a release. I'm sure he gets it."
"His ex cheated on him," I reply, and she winces.
"Ah, okay. And you're worried that, although he says he's fine about everything, if you actually do something, he won't take it so well?"
"Yeah. I really like him, Annika. But... I love my life. I love fucking you and Sebastian. And god knows I'm addicted to Cam's cock now. I just don't know if I can have him and keep all the other things I enjoy as well." Emotions swirl in my stomach as I give her a mournful look.
This is exactly what I'd hoped to avoid by denying my feelings in the first place.
She pats the couch beside her, and I get up from my desk chair. "Have you actually asked him about any of this? Or are you just assuming he won't understand? From what you said, he seemed fine when you told him about everything that night?"
I sit down next to her, sighing. "No. Because he's just so.
.. normal. I mean, at the club night, he was wearing the red mask, and only changed it to green when we were alone, even though I gave him the option of wearing the black one.
That seems like he's only interested in being with one person, and, well.
.. I'd want him to play with everyone, too. "
She pushes my hair back behind my ear, then cups my cheek. "You won't know until you actually talk to him, babe."
I groan, sliding down in the seat and resting my head on the back of the chair, staring up at the ceiling. "Why did I have to fall for this guy?"
She grins. "So... You admit you've caught more than just feelings for the guy now?"
I glare at her. "Shut up."
She laughs. It's a deep, throaty laugh that always makes me want her. I cross my legs, attempting to ignore the way my libido is screaming at me right now.
She watches the movement and licks her lips.
Frowning, I shake my head. "Not helping, Annika."
"Wasn't trying to help," she says with a smirk.
I open my mouth to respond, just as Sebastian walks in.
Annika pounces as soon as he closes the door.
"Sebastian, back me up here. Cam has told Imogen he's fine with her playing with us, but she doesn't think he's really okay with it.
I think she should play with me because she's strung out right now, but she's worried that if she does, it's like she's being unfaithful.
.. Even though they haven't agreed to be exclusive. Who's right here?"
Sebastian raises an eyebrow. "I am not getting involved."
Annika pouts. "Why not? You've missed playing with her, just as much as I have."
He sighs, shaking his head. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for your next client?"
She gets to her feet. "Ugh, fine. You're no fun." Annika throws me a seductive smile over her shoulder as she leaves, closing the door behind her.
"Does this mean things with Mr Collins aren't going so well?" Sebastian asks, moving to his desk.
"No... He seems to be okay with me playing with others, but..."
Sebastian turns to look at me, his brows knitted together as he studies my face. "But what?"
"I just can't shake the feeling that I'm going to end up hurting him, just by being me."
Sitting back in his chair, he crosses his arms. "How so? He's said he's fine with it? In my experience, men don't say they are fine with something if they aren't. Perhaps this is your own inner voice talking and nothing to do with him?"
I sigh, running a hand through my hair. "Maybe..."
He smiles, his blue eyes twinkling. "I'm always here if you need, but maybe you should actually talk to him about how you're feeling?"
"That's what Annika said."
He chuckles, shaking his head. "Funny, maybe you should listen to both of us, then?"
I groan. "Ugh, fine."
"Good. Now, let's discuss your trip to Sydney tomorrow, shall we?" And, like always, the switch from personal to business is flipped, and we're right back into it.
While I'm packing my suitcase that evening, my phone dings from the other side of the bed. Dropping my toiletries, I run to pick it up.
Yeah, I'm officially 'that girl' now, desperate to hear from her boyfriend.
Oh god, and now I'm calling him my boyfriend. I'm so screwed.
Cam
Hey beautiful. You home?
My stomach flutters.
Imogen
Yes... why?
Cam
Look out your window.
I race to the window in the kitchen that overlooks the street. An ambulance is parked out the front, with one very familiar, blond, fucking hot paramedic leaning against the passenger door, grinning up at me.
Gasping, I grab my keys and hightail it down the stairs, not bothering to wait for the lift.
When I make it through the front door of the building, Cam is waiting for me on the other side.
I jump into his arms, and he chuckles, taking a step back as he catches me, wrapping his arms around me as I grip him with my thighs.
"Hi," I say with a grin, kissing him all over his face.
"Hi yourself."
My lips finally settle over his, and I tighten my arms around his neck, pressing myself into his chest.
"Did someone miss me?" he murmurs into my hair when I break the kiss to hug him.
"Maybe."
"Well, I definitely missed you. Sorry we couldn't catch up earlier."
I pull back slightly so that I can peer down at his face. "It's okay. I'm glad you could swing this little visit though. I have an early flight tomorrow."
He nods. " Sydney, right?"
"And Melbourne. But I'll be back on Friday for your days off."
He kisses my neck, and I tip my head to the side to give him better access. "Good. Cause I'm going to need to fuck you for hours to make up for all this time apart." He ghosts his lips along my skin, before looking up at me again. "Does that work for you?"
"God yes. I don't suppose I could tempt you with a quickie now?"
He laughs. "As close as Christian and I are, I don't think he'd appreciate being abandoned with the truck while I fuck you upstairs."
I losen my grip with my thighs, sliding down to drop my feet to the ground. "Damn. Cause that uniform..."
That smirk that either frustrates or turns me on, depending on when he does it, appears. "So it really is just all about the uniform, huh?"
I shrug. "What can I say? I like a man in uniform... Although I'd much prefer you in no clothes at all."
Someone coughs behind me, and I spin around, coming face to face with his partner.
"Um, hi," Christian says, grinning.
"Hi, you must be Christian?" I stick my hand out, not even slightly embarrassed that he heard me propositioning Cam.
Christian shakes my hand as Cam slides his arm around my shoulders, nodding. "Yep, this is the man forced to deal with my sorry arse when you aren't around."
Christian shoots me a wink. "And it's a real burden, trust me. All he does is mope about not getting to hang out with you. It's disgusting." He studies me for a moment. "Have we met before?"
I side-eye Cam, who shrugs. "Yeah... You guys came to help a patient at my work a few months ago."
I can practically see the wheels turning in his head while he tries to work out which patient. And I can tell the minute he figures it out.
"Oh!" His eyes dart towards Cam, then back at me .
Then back to Cam.
His face turns red, and he clears his throat.
"You okay there?" Cam asks, taking far too much joy in his friend's embarrassment.
"Yep, all cool here. Why wouldn't it be cool?"
Both their radios start going off on their belts, and Christian looks down at the phone in his hand. I'm sure he is thanking God for saving him from this awkwardness.
"We better go," Cam says, gently pulling me around to kiss me softly before he leaves.
"Bye, Imogen. It was nice to meet you... Well, again, I guess."
I grin, waving them both off. "It was good to see you too, Christian. Maybe next time you'll be able to look me in the eye."
He blushes again, turning to look at Cam as they walk back to the ambulance. "Dude, a bit of fucking warning next time," he mutters.
Cam chuckles, winking at me over his shoulder. "Yeah, but then I wouldn't have gotten to witness that epic case of tongue-tied you just had, and where would the fun be in that?"
Shaking my head at his antics, I wait for them to leave, waving as they head off.
When I'd first realised Christian didn't know how we'd met, I'd thought Cam was too embarrassed to tell his friends about me. But I can see it's just because he's a shit-stirrer and wanted to make his friend squirm when he worked it out.
Such an arsehole... But I guess he's my arsehole.
God, I hope I can work up the courage to ask him if he'd ever consider playing with the others. Because the further I fall for him, the more I hope we can make it all work. For both of us.
