Page 93 of Obsessing Over His Favorite
His face was carved in stone, his jaw locked tight, his gaze stormy—like someone had just murdered his cat and he’d found out who did it.
And that glare?
It wasonlyever reserved for her.
She still didn’t know what she’d done to offend him, but every time their paths crossed, he looked at her like she was the cause of everything wrong in his world.
Sebastian Graves was dangerously handsome. Cold. Powerful. Admired. Feared.
He was also brutally blunt, bordering on disrespectful, with no patience for polite pretenses. He cared only for what he wanted. Unapologetically selfish.
He was nothing like Lucas. Not even close.
And that thought alone filled her with a strange satisfaction.
Even through her intoxicated haze, it gave her just enough fire to step forward.
She stumbled slightly, but even drunk, she fixed her gaze firmly on his eyes. In the past, she couldn’t meet his icy stare—this time, she didn’t flinch at all.
Instead, she moved toward him. Her steps wobbled, her fingers trembling slightly at her sides—but she didn’t stop. She rounded the table in the center of the room and slipped into the space between the table and the couch.
Then, without a single word, she lowered herself right into his lap.
Her heart pounded. She expected him to shove her off or freeze in shock.
He didn’t.
Instead, his arm wrapped tightly around her waist, anchoring her to him with startling ease. Her chest pressed against his, and she tilted her head back to look up at him. His head dipped to meet her gaze.
He was enormous against her. She had never fully realized just how small she looked next to him. His body surrounded hers completely, making her seem even smaller—especially now, sitting in his lap like this.
And as his warm breath touched her skin and that maddening, expensive scent clung to him, her mind blanked completely.
Whatever words she’d meant to say, whatever plan she thought she had, vanished.
The next second, she grabbed his tie and pulled him down toward her. His eyes locked onto hers without a flicker of hesitation or surprise.
He didn’t say a word, but his lips hovered just inches from hers. Soft, and inviting. His stubble brushed her skin, rougher than she expected. She’d thought he was clean-shaven, but the slight roughness against her face made her heart race.
Before her mind could catch up, she tilted her head up and pressed her lips against his.
The kiss ignited fast, like he’d been waiting for her to make the first move—like a predator patiently waiting for its prey to come within reach.
He responded instantly, his hand cupping the back of her head, pulling her deeper. His lips moved against hers, fierce and demanding. Every brush of his tongue against her lips sent a sharp thrill shooting straight through her, igniting fire in every nerve ending, setting her entire body trembling with raw pleasure.
Every flick of his tongue shot electric jolts down her spine, setting off a wildfire between her thighs that spread through every inch of her.
She tried to breathe, but it was impossible with him claiming her mouth so fiercely. She sucked in air through her nose, but even that wasn’t enough.
He kissed her like he was starving for her. His fingers traced lazy circles along her waist before rising to cup her breast, setting her skin ablaze with heat.
When she was nearly out of breath, she yanked on his tie again, and pushed him back onto the couch. His head hit the cushionswith a soft thud as he fell back, lying beneath her. She climbed onto him, straddling his hips.
Her head dipped down to kiss him again, but his hand closed gently around her throat. His gaze bore into hers.
“Do you know who I am?”
She smirked. “The only thing I know right now is that you’re the most handsome man on earth.”
