Chapter Eleven

S tretching my muscles, I flip over in bed. I can’t help the smile that spreads across my face.
Last night with Liv might have been the best night I’ve had since coming to London. Hell, the best night I’ve had in a long time.
The sounds coming from the other room, and the cold bed beside me, tell me Liv has been up for a while.
Glancing at the clock, it’s still early. Thank God for a late practice today, because I’m hoping I can convince Liv to go another round before I have to leave.
The woman in question walks in from the kitchen, two mugs in her hand. In only the shirt I was wearing last night and mussed-up hair, she looks sexy as hell.
Especially as she chews on her bottom lip.
“Morning.”
Sitting up, the duvet falls from my chest as Liv sits down next to me. Strong coffee scents the air.
“Morning.” I sip the hot brew, letting it wake me up, even though I feel fucking amazing after last night.
“Sleep well? ”
Grabbing both cups, I set them on the nightstand and pull her into me. “Great. Especially since I got to share the bed with you.”
Sealing our mouths together, I let my tongue tangle with hers. Damn, if I could wake up like this every morning, I’d be a happy man.
“You know we have to get to work,” Liv tells me, even though she makes no move to get up.
“It’s a good thing practice doesn’t start until later today.”
She quirks a brow at me. “Did you plan that on purpose?”
I shake my head. “Not at all. When do you have to be in?”
Liv glances at the clock on her dresser. “In an hour.”
Sliding a hand up and under her shirt, I nip at her neck. “Does that mean you have time for a quickie?”
Her skin is so warm and so damn soft that I’m having trouble hearing her words. All I want to do is bury myself inside of her again.
“Are you listening?” She grabs my cheeks and pulls my focus to her.
“It’s hard to when you’re underneath me.”
“I asked how this is going to work.”
“What do you mean?” That has me confused.
“I mean, you and I work together.”
“In the same building,” I correct. “It’s not like you’re my employee. There’s no direct line of reporting. It’s fine.”
She sighs. “More like I don’t want things to be weird between us when others are around.”
I straddle her hips, settling my weight fully on top of her. “I do not plan on making things weird at work. Do you?”
She shakes her head. “No. ”
Even though I have a feeling it will be weird for her when she sees me at work today. Not that the likelihood of the two of us bumping into each other is high, but I have a feeling she’ll still be awkward.
Add this to the list of things I like about her so much.
“Good.” My fingers work open the buttons on her shirt. “Then I am going to fuck you senseless, so I know you’ll have something else to focus on at work.”
