"It's not going to happen now." Luke grabs the doorknob and is about to shut the door when I hear Summer yelp.
"But, sir—"
"Just get the fuck out, Summer." With that said, Luke slams the door shut and locks it.
After locking the door of his office, Luke pushes me against the wall, making me yelp. He kisses me like there's no tomorrow, and I moan, leaning into his touch.
I help him take off his suit and loosen his tie. We both know where this is going.
"Goddammit, Cassie," he rasps. "You can't just appear in my office, looking so sexy, and think that it does not affect me."
He groans, unbuckling his dress pants before taking them off along with his briefs.
I cup his face while his hand slips under my dress, roaming my thigh. He kneels, slides down my panties and yanks them off my feet.
Then he puts one of my legs onto his shoulder before attacking my pussy with his mouth.
"As I said, I'm fucking hungry." He sucks my clit hard, making me grip onto his hair.
"Luke!" I scream but then cover my mouth in my hand. I should keep my voice down—I'm afraid that people will hear me.
Summer and the bodyguards are still outside. However, as Luke focuses his attention on my clit, sucking it while pushing two fingers inside me, my mission to keep quiet is rather impossible.
I can't believe how wet I already am, making it slick as Luke shoves his fingers deeper. He pulls them out and pushes them back in, over and over again.
My juices drip due to his continuous torture, and I'm aware that I'm going to come all over his hand if he doesn't stop, the slapping sound of him fucking me with his fingers echoing in the room.
Luke stares up at me fiercely, his mouth still not leaving my sex. Then he slows down his pace, pulls out his fingers and stands up.
He handcuffs my wrists against the wall on my sides, lacing our fingers, and I moan as his hard cock slowly enters me.
Our bodies are pressed against each other as he fucks me against the wall, my feet lifted from the ground. He feels so good inside me, and I feel like I'm in ecstasy.
Luke runs his tongue on my neck, making my body shake with pleasure even more.
While we're lost in our burning passion, a loud ring from Luke's desk phone startles us. However, Luke doesn't stop.
Pure irritation strikes his expression as he glances over his shoulder to see who's calling. "Shit," he mutters under his breath.
In one swift movement, Luke carries me, my legs wrapping around his torso as we leave the wall behind me.
While still holding me close to him, he uses his other hand to end the call from his desk phone. "I'll definitely fire her after this."
So it's Summer who was calling. Why can’t she stop disturbing us?
But I don't have any chance to think about that annoying girl anymore as Luke lands me on the carpet. He fucks me on the floor like a savage.
Wrapping his arms around my shoulders, he leans in for a kiss, and I welcome his lips on mine.
I circle my arms around his shoulder too, feeling like I'm on cloud nine as he keeps pleasuring me.
Oh, God, I came here for a lunch, didn't I? Why did it turn out like this? Not that I'm complaining.
He French kisses me as he continues pounding into me, and while I close my eyes, lost in his warmth, something echoes at the back of my mind.
"Dammit, Cassie. I can't stop kissing you."
My eyes snap open. I'm trying to digest what just happened in shock.
I felt something like this before. When did I hear those words? It sounded just like Luke's voice.
Luke pulls away from the kiss after noticing my slight detachment. I stare at his hazel eyes, which are filled with his desire for me.
Why am I imagining things? Why do I feel like we've gotten lost in this kind of ecstasy before, in which he couldn't stop kissing me?
"What's the matter?" Luke stops moving, worry on his face. "Am I hurting you?"
I quickly shake my head to signal that he’s wrong. "No. Please, don't stop," I plead, tightening my hold around his shoulder.
Luke's eyes soften before he resumes his thrust, burying his face in my neck, and my moans fill the room again.
???
The weekend has come, and here I am, standing at the side of the swimming pool, watching as Luke teaches Aiden how to swim.
Oscar's voice echoes in my ear as he talks to me on the phone.
"Have you seen the view count for your new song on your channel?" Oscar asks with so much excitement it makes me wonder what's going on—he rarely gets this enthusiastic. "Cassie, I can't believe it."
"What do you mean?" I ask, clueless.
Even though I'm curious as hell, I'm too afraid to see the reaction to two lyric videos that my team has put up on my YouTube channel, so I'm staying away from social media for a while.
"They love your song," Oscar says like it's the most obvious thing in the world. "And I mean, like really love . Hell, they're addicted to it. I've never seen a number of views that grew as rapidly as this one."
"It's the song that I wrote with Cal, isn't it?" I ask. "I told you that the guy is a genius, and he has a great new fanbase—"
"Cassie," Oscar cuts me off. "I'm not talking about that one. Of course, that song is receiving great feedback too, more than we could have asked for, honestly. But I'm talking about the other one. It's phenomenal."
I'm speechless.
"I'm talking about your new song," Oscar says, making my heart skip a beat. "The most recent song that you composed out of the blue. Winter Escape."
My jaw drops.
"But," I stutter. "But it's the most unprepared song that we've ever released. In fact, I'm still amazed at how fast we were able to finalize it."
Oscar chuckles. "It means that the song itself was already so perfect that we didn't even have to try hard to work on it. That's why we could release it in such a short time."
I'm still at a loss for words. Silence creeps between us, and all I can hear now is Luke's voice echoing distinctly as he teaches Aiden how to swim.
"This might be overwhelming, but I have a feeling that the song may be able to be nominated as the best song of the year in the upcoming Golden Music Awards."
I'm stunned, still unable to believe what's happening. "You're kidding, right?"
Oscar chuckles again. "We'll see whether I'm kidding or not sooner or later. This song is a masterpiece, Cassie. Congratulations."
I'm still holding my phone close to my ear when we hang up, freezing on the spot. My heart beats fast inside my chest.
Have I really done it?
The feeling is so overwhelming that tears pool in my eyes. This is the first time that I've made such an accomplishment without Morgan.
It means that what she said wasn't true—that I was nothing without her. It's not true.
She's wrong. I'm still doing great without her. I'm doing tremendously great.
I wipe a tear sliding down from the corner of my eye, put my phone on the bench and walk closer to the swimming pool.
I watch as Aiden swims in my direction with Luke's help. Halfway through the lap, Luke pulls out his hand that was initially resting below Aiden's stomach to support him, and Aiden keeps floating closer to me, still with Luke guarding him by his side.
A proud smile touches my lips.
When Aiden finally reaches the end of the pool, I bend down. He leans on the edge, facing me, happiness skating all over his face.
"Did you see that just now?" he asks, excitement in his voice. "I did it. I made it here by myself. I can swim!"
I sense tears in my eyes again, feeling a great amount of joy and proudness from his achievement—it's even more powerful than the happiness I'm feeling because of my own achievement.
How can it be? The connection I'm feeling toward this child is unbelievable.
"You did it, Aiden." I nod. "You made it."
Aiden flashes me the biggest smile that he has ever plastered on his face.
"You did great. Congra—" Before I can finish my sentence, I feel my hand being pulled forward, and the next thing I know I'm falling into the water with a great splash.
When my head pop backs up from the water, I gasp. I open my eyes, only to find Luke watching me with a playful smirk.
He tsks. "You're the only one who wasn't drenched. It's not fun."
"Luke!" I protest. Unlike them, I'm still fully clothed, and it's annoying .
He splashes water in my direction, and I try to attack him back, but I can barely reach his level of brutality.
"Luke!" I yell, but then burst into laughter.
Luke laughs too, and so does Aiden. Aiden's eyes twinkle as he watches us play. He kicks the water toward Luke while still leaning against the edge of the pool.
Our laughter echoes in the air, and I have never felt so joyful. It's like everything just perfectly falls into place.
I could watch this scene every day. I feel like I'll never get enough of Aiden's laughter, or Luke's loving eyes.
And so I pray that we are going to be like this for a long, long time.
