Elijah
I roll over in bed and look at the woman in my arms. My woman.
Fuck, it’s still surreal. I kiss her neck and breasts, earning a soft moan, her nipples hardening beneath that thin satin top she’s wearing. I bite my lip, as much as I need to go, I’m unable to pull away from my Kitten.
The moment she stills again, I lower her satin top, taking her pierced nipple in my mouth, resisting a groan of satisfaction at how good they feel in my mouth.
She moans softly. She’s still exhausted from last night and I can’t blame her. We slept late. I push off the bedding before I move back and begin kissing her softly down her stomach before I reach the band of her tiny shorts, knowing she’s wearing nothing beneath them and slide them off.
A soft sigh is all I hear before I slowly part her legs, taking a moment to admire her smooth pussy before I go down on her. The moment my tongue runs between her slick folds, she gasps, her hand going to my hair.
“Elijah…” she moans, sounding so fucking good that I throb hard.
I don’t reply as I begin eating her out, starved for her, although it was just mere hours ago that I had her. Her lush thighs are parted as I devour her. The taste of her is an addiction, one I crave constantly.
She’s mine, all mine… Fuck!
I swirl my tongue along her clit, making her whimper as she begins to roll her hips against my face, lifting her legs to my shoulders as her gasps and sighs become louder, her grip on my hair tightening.
“Fuck… that’s it! Fuck, baby.” Her moans of encouragement are breathless and full of satisfaction, and when she comes, her juices trickling out of her, the sigh of pure ecstasy that falls from her lips satisfies me.
Her head drops onto the pillow, her fingers loosening their hold on my hair. I move back after licking up her juices and move up between her legs.
She lightly reaches for my shoulders, but I kiss her lips.
“You taste divine,” I groan. “And as much as I want you, I have to get going.”
She sighs, pouting slightly, but nods. “I’m skipping training today,” she murmurs in between soft, breathy kisses.
“I’m sure the future Luna can do whatever she wishes without any consequences. Get some rest,” I murmur, slapping her ass before I force myself away. She almost pouts, cracking open those pretty eyes as she nods.
“Mmm, tomorrow is going to be a long day.”
I nod. Yeah… it is.
She sits up, kissing me before she drops back onto the bed and rolls onto her side. I smirk as I get off the bed and head to the bathroom to wash up before I head out.
Training feels more grim today . Everyone is serious. Some of us know what we’re about to do tomorrow, and everyone is focused. Well, almost everyone. Fiona keeps staring at me, and although I ignore her, she doesn’t stop.
What is her problem? I’m mated now. The entire fucking pack knows that Scarlett is my mate. Although a few people are looking at my mark with curiosity, the majority don’t question it. After all, many of them consider the mate bond to be sacred.
It’s crazy how, at one point, I didn’t believe in it or even care about who my mate was until I met Scarlett and then I didn’t want anyone to be fated to her.
A punch from Aaron to the jaw misses my face as I move back, surprising him. “Damn, you got stronger.”
“That’s what happens when you’re mated to an alpha,” I reply cockily.
“Yeah, plus you’re healing faster,” Liam observes.
I smirk, looking down at one of the cuts he managed with a dull blade earlier. “Guess I am.”
“Food and drinks later? Or can’t you part from your woman for a bit?” Aaron asks arrogantly.
I cock a brow. “I think us hanging out is long overdue. Tonight, why not,” I say.
Liam smiles. “Great.”
I think he could use it too. He might be pretending to be fine, but I can see the look in his eyes. I can’t place the emotion but I have a strong feeling it might be loneliness. I look away before he catches me looking. A sliver of concern settles into my stomach and I nod, looking at Aaron.
“You’re getting the food,” I order, not waiting for a reply from him as I grab my shirt and pull it on.
I’ll head to the packhouse and just shower there. We have a meeting to coordinate some last-minute backup plans. I take my phone out, texting Scarlett when I hear running from behind.
“Elijah!”
My brows furrow as I try to remain calm.
What does she want?
“What is it?” I ask curtly, keeping my tone cold. How many times do I need to make it clear we are nothing? I’m just her future Alpha. She doesn’t need to talk to me.
“Elijah, why are you-”
“Alpha Elijah; we’re not friends, Fiona.”
She flinches, wrapping her arms around herself as if she’s a fucking victim here. “What did I do to earn your hatred?”
“We’re not having this conversation. I made it clear we are nothing, so why the fuck do you think I should give you an explanation?” I snarl.
“Elijah, we were more-”
I laugh coldly, “We weren’t! You were nothing more than a pastime, one that I regret. Now get the hell out of my face.” I turn away, not wanting to talk to her. I know how Scarlett feels about her being around me and I’m not about to entertain her in conversation in the middle of the woods, alone.
“Elijah, I love you!”
I swivel on my heels, my eyes flashing. “I’m in love with Scarlett, or have you forgotten? She is my mate and we have fucking marked one another. What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Last fucking chance, Fiona. Drop it.” My voice is more animalistic than human.
I turn away once again and walk away when suddenly I hear her rushing at me, and I know exactly what she’s about to do. Turning, I growl at her, stopping her before she can fling her arms around me, breaking into sobs.
“Eli- Alpha…” She reaches out for me.
“Don’t ever call me that again. Don’t ever fucking try to touch me again,” I snarl, my Alpha command making her whimper.
The sound of footsteps makes me turn to see none other than Scarlett, her eyes glimmering with irritation as she storms over to us, her eyes simmering silver.
Scarlett
Elijah left me satisfied, but he didn’t seem to care that he was supporting a hard-on himself. I promised myself I’d make it up to him later. His morning treat left me feeling content, and I fell into a deep sleep despite his absence from beside me.
I slept in until Mama called for me to get up and I reluctantly got out of bed, showering before telling her I won’t be having breakfast as I wanted to go pay Grandma Amy a visit.
We are leaving for the Black Storm Pack tomorrow morning and I want to see her before I leave. She probably knows we’re mates already, but I want to tell her myself, too. After all, she was one of the first to know and not judge.
I am walking along, lost in thought about how tomorrow will go when I catch the sound of a heated argument up ahead. I stop, frowning when I realise it’s Elijah and… Fiona?
Does the woman seriously not get a hint?
My eyes flash as I hear Elijah growl at her, making her break into sobs. Taking a few more steps, they come into view and I shake my head. I am fed up with her constant tears. I can see she’s trying to reach out to touch him.
That’s my man.
I stride over to them, my eyes blazing, and grab Fiona by her arm and wrench her away from Elijah, my eyes a steely silver as I glare at her.
“You know… I gave you a clear warning. Stay. Away. From. My. Man.” My voice is cold, my Alpha aura surrounding me, making Fiona look at Elijah fearfully. He simply shakes his head, irritation clear in his eyes.
“I think I’ll let your Luna deal with you,” he says to her. I’m sorry you got to deal with this shit again.
Leaning over, he grips my chin and kisses me sensually. “I’ll see you later. I’m heading to the packhouse to organise our team.”
“See you later,” I reply, all the while not letting go of Fiona’s arm. I watch Elijah walk off before turning my gaze back to Fiona. “I warned you…”
“I love him! It’s not my fault!” she sobs, making me frown.
“He isn’t yours. As your Luna, by going after the Alpha, you are directly insulting me!” I let go of her arm.
“But we had a connection!” she cries, and I’m unable to stop my hand from slapping her across her face. Hard. Fiona gasps as her head snaps to the side sharply. My hand has left a red mark on her cheek. I grab her by her neck and yank her close, trying to control my burning anger.
“Because I’m your future Luna, I won’t do what I want to do, but I swear… chase Elijah again and I will make sure you are thrown out of this pack! Do I make myself clear?” I snap.
Fiona stares at me, fear in her eyes as she whimpers softly. A trickle of blood seeps out of her nose, and I think I see defeat in her eyes.
I really hope she finally gets it. I’m growing tired of her behaviour, and I can’t forget what her brother did when she held Elijah up…
She looks away, casting her eyes to the ground.
“I-I promise, I won’t try anymore. It’s clear there is no place in his heart for me.”
“Yeah, there isn’t and this time I hope you get that through your head,” I snarl coldly. Fiona simply nods, looking defeated. I push past her, feeling annoyed as I continue on my way, leaving her there.
She’s just ruined my mood completely.
