“You bathed her?” I accuse Frost.

He reaches out, ices her skin before it heats, runs off, and evaporates into the air. I study where the air disappeared and sniff at her skin. She smells good.

I approve the technique and shift to my usual form, curling up on the bed next to her. But that doesn’t feel right. It takes me a moment, but then I slip my tail over her hip. She stirs over the next three hours, slowly rising out of the healing.

My mind plays her act over and over. No one has ever done that for me. I’m a monster among monsters. I’m feared, reviled. People look at me and tell me I should be dead.

I could have been dead.

But this human saved me.

She will not be pleased to discover that I am hers, but hers I am until she sends me away.

She will. Eventually.

No one keeps a Grim.

Especially not an omega. Why would she want me?

Becky opens her eyes and looks straight into my eyes. I sit up, frowning as I study her closer. She has a ring of white and gold around her pupil that wasn’t there before,and then, she reaches out almost faster than I can detect and wraps those delicate fingers around my throat and drags me down to her.

“Mine,” my mate growls and licks a long stripe up my cheek.

I rumble with pleasure and move over her.

Chapter 31

Becky

He tastes of darkness and death, and I moan and open my mouth as that huge tongue slides into me. I arch my back, pressing up into him. He removes his tongue from my mouth and growls.

Fuck, that’s hot.

I get even hotter when he snaps those sharp teeth in front of my face and hisses.

I’m not wearing clothes, but I couldn’t care less. In fact, it’s better this way. I spread my legs wide and pull him down until my hips cradle his. He pauses, looking startled, but then presses me more firmly to the mattress.

There’s a burning heat inside me, a reckless desperation to have my mate. I’m out of control, and I don’t even care.

Puppy snarls again and looks positively feral.

“He’s not done this before,” Frost says, and that breaks through my ardor enough to make sense. For a split second, a self-preservation shines a light down.

“You’ll stay?” I ask.

“Of course.”

Good enough for me.

Puppy lifts off me and snarls as he flips me until I’m on my hands and knees, ass presented to him.

My whole body aches to feel him over me, pressing on me. But he doesn’t. He moves up to the side where he can see my face. He reaches out with black tipped talons and grips my jaw in a hold I can’t break and turns my head towards him.

I almost ask what’s going on when I feel something cold drag up my leg. I try to glance back, but I can’t move.

Tail, I suddenly remember. He’s got a tail, and then it’s there, stroking my core, probing and flexing. I gasp.

I spread my legs and arch my back, opening myself up further. A tiny voice inside of me screams that this is insane, but I stamp the voice dead and moan piteously for more. I am so ridiculously wet, but I can’t seem to find the will to care.
