NEW YORK CITY.
They met with him in a bar.
Dr. Beloca hated the wait and he made it verbally clear to Adeladin every now and then. The general seems to be enjoying himself; clearly relaxed and perfectly content with watching the asses of the waitresses swing as they passed by.
Dr. Beloca would prefer to be back home or in his labs getting some work done. He absolutely hated that this Anaconda was making them wait, and they'd been here for an hour.
Another hour later, he was ready to go mad. After spitting his anger for the precious time wasted on General Adeladin's face, Beloca got up to be on his merry way, and that was when the Anaconda walked into the bar.
Beloca has never met him before—this would be their first meeting—or even seen his pictures, but he knew it was the man they'd been waiting for, immediately after he walked into the bar.
First, he has cold eyes. It's not one of those cold eyes that are easily noticeable because those brown eyes look particularly warm and normal.
No, it's the kind that can only be recognized by like-minds.
Then there was his built. The man was built like a fucking tank, dictionary was looking at him when they made the word 'hunk'.
Beloca was almost at the door when the man walked in, but he turned and followed the man back to the table, his fits of anger forgotten. Instead, the excitement started building inside him. This is looking good.
The man sat down on one empty chair and he took the one that remained.
"I apologize for the delay. It's not exactly easy navigating through this busy city," The man waved it off, looking at Adeladin, "You are General Adeladin and he is Doctor Beloca right?"
Beloca's brows arched, "Wait, how do you know that?"
The man looked at him like he'd asked a dumb question and Beloca absolutely hated that look.
Then the man smiled warmly, "Don't think I will come here without doing a thorough check on the both of you, I know everything there is to know about you.
Every tiny detail... Even the one you think you're the only person that knows. "
A shiver went through Beloca's body, but he hid it well. "Fair enough. We don't know much about you. Just the basics."
"There's not much to know. You can call me Anaconda. Killing is a good hobby of mine, there's this stress-relieving quality it has to it that stupid people don't understand." The man's head narrowed slightly in thought, "Oh, and I'm not human."
"Dammit, I knew it!" Adeladin hissed, banging his hand on the table. "That body of yours is not easy to find among humans. "
"You say it like my identity is such a bad thing and yet, I can smell your excitement from here.
And don't tell me it's because of my body, human, because even if my other half is one of those kinds that loves fucking females in the ass, I'll have you know that you are not my type. " Anaconda deadpanned.
Adeladin sputtered with indignation, "That's not it, I am not gay! I have a wife and—"
"Good," Anaconda turned to him, "Now, for the reason why we are here, we are going to help each other out. We have the same enemies, so we are gonna help each other get rid of this enemy. I want the Alpha King out of the picture."
"Wait, what's an Alpha King?" Beloca asked.
Anaconda waved him off, "It's not important. You and your lab rats know him as Number 6, so he can keep being that to you."
"Wait, you know Number 6!? And you know how we can get to him!?" Now, Beloca was having a full-time excitement and he didn't bother to hide it, "You can help us get him?"
"I can. I want him off my back, so I will. Getting him will be very very hard, even for me. So, I come up with a very simple plan. We get his cute, little mate and allow him to come to us."
"His what? I don't understand." Beloca told him.
Again, he waved him away, "You don't need to. Think of her as his wife or his girlfriend, since they are not mated yet."
"Girlfriend? So, if we get his girlfriend, we have him?" Adeladin snorted, "Why would the man risk his life for his girlfriend? We need a better plan."
Anaconda smiled again, "Oh, you naive fool. "
Beloca winced at the insult, watching Adeladin sit straighter too. Adeladin is powerful and strong in the standard of their world, so no one dares to insult him and if you do, you won't go scot-free. But, it's obvious that rules don't apply to the man sitting with them.
"Don't insult me!" Adeladin hissed angrily.
Anaconda waved him off, "Anyway, for now, this is the best plan we have. It will work if we find a way to get our hands on his mate."
"So, how do you propose we get this girlfriend," Beloca asked.
"It's only hard because she is in Naturiah.
Once she leaves our world, it will be as easy as peeing.
" Anaconda paused, "From the rumors whispered around, the Alpha King and his mate are having some issues.
Serious ones. Our people are hoping they resolve their conflict, but I am hoping the issue will drive her out of Naturiah. Once it does, she is mine."
Beloca didn't understand a few things, but he pushed on, "So, we are only riding on your 'hope'? We just sit and 'hope' she leaves? Wouldn't it be easier if we drag her out? Maybe you can get her out of there and bring her to us?"
Anaconda looked at him like he'd said something dumb again, "Do not play with forces beyond your control, human. Even I won't be able to get her out of there because it will warrant getting really close to the Alpha King. And if I do, I will get caught in all sense of the word."
"I am not stupid to think I can best him both in fighting and up here," he pointed at his brain, "If I get close to him, he will discover my identity and I will die in the most horrible way, human. Wolfaraine Daminor Throne is not someone to be underestimated."
"If Number 6 is all this, then why are you doing this? Why are you working with us?" Beloca questioned, clearly baffled .
The man seem to think about the question for a few seconds before he shrugged, "He is onto me.
I want to get him off my back and the only way to do it is to get him out of our world forever, but that's not possible because he is our King, so you people can have him.
You can do whatever you want with him, I don't care.
I just want him out of Naturiah and off my back before he discovers my identity. "
"And what is your identity?" Beloca asked him.
Anaconda got up then, "That will be all for today, my attention is needed elsewhere.
I will keep you all updated. Once his mate makes the decision to leave Naturiah, I'll tell you both and we take her.
Then we make plans on how to actually capture him when he comes for her, because he will.
The only preparations we need to make is how we can keep him captured once we have him. "
Anaconda has already left their table completely and was on his way to the door when he stopped. He turned back and his eyes pinned on Beloca. He smiled.
It was one of those warm, creepy smiles that send cold shivers down a person's spine.
"You asked about my identity. I am what our people call 'The Wild Psychopath.'" With that, he turned and left.
NATURIAH.
Two nights later, in the middle of the night, Eline felt a soft hand pat her back in an attempt to wake her up from sleep.
She rose to see Ismena standing there in her nighties, her eyes looked like she's been crying again even though there were no tears on her face.
"Is anything the matter?" Eline asked drowsily .
"I can't do this anymore, Eline. I have made the decision to go back to my world. I am leaving Naturiah."
