Page 80 of Mask and the Magnolia
I shrug as I move toward him, allowing him to pull me against his side.
“Well, we wouldn’t.”
“How else are we going to see you everyday?” Desmond comes up behind me, leaning in to kiss Magnolia several times before he holds me and buries his face in my neck. “You’ve said it yourself, Vin and I seem to be quite a bit smarter than we’ve been given credit for.”
I snort.
I have. Early on when we had just started, I noticed that both of them as well as Ivan had been labeled withborderline low IQs.I didn’t believe it then and I’ve come to realize nowthat it was intentional. Everyone assumed Desmond was stupid because of some of the things he says and while those things are stupid, he is not. Neither Korvin nor Ivan speak hardly to anyone and wound up with the label for what is clearly more defiant behavior than an inability to understand. All three like it that way. People underestimate what they’re capable of, or fixate on what they’ve done, and either outcome benefits them.
But this ward isn’t exactly huge, and two alphas whoarehuge suddenly disappearing aren't going to go unnoticed for long.
“Someone is bound to notice that you two are missing.”
Korvin shakes his head as he leans in, jutting his chin in my direction for a kiss and goddamnit, I follow without hesitation.
“No one’s going to know,” he says against my lips. “Relax.”
My eyes flutter open and I shake my head but something is telling me this is a losing argument.
“Calix is watching the door,” Desmond says as he nips at my neck. “Ivan is parked close to the mouth of the hallway as a deterrent, and the Rooker boys are challenging O’Brien and Stevenson to air hockey. We’re covered.”
Maggie grabs the front of my vest and tugs me toward her. “Besides, you said you didn’t want to be disturbed until I came in. Stop worrying.”
Her hands slide down my abs as she smiles up at me. Like she loves me. All three of them are acting like they love me and I am definitely not equipped to handle that. I’ve never had even remotely similar feelings for anyone before.
Or had anyone feel that way about me.
I’ve never forged connections outside of one’s necessary for school or my career, and when my mother passed, that severed the last connection I had that was personal.
When I lay it out that way, I’d really be a fool to deny what I obviously share with them but I’m at war with myself anyway.
“No one needs professions of love and forever right now.” Desmond smiles against the side of my neck as Magnolia starts unbuckling my belt. His hands move back to the front of my slacks, rubbing slowly before she gets to the zipper. “Right now, we need fucking and biting. Permanent branding. Guarantees that nothing is going to change this.”
I stare into Maggie’s eyes, seeking some sort of confirmation that this isn’t a dream I’m going to wake up from. This isn’t some fleeting thing I’m going to lose the second we leave this room. I want this, want them desperately, but this is a whole new world for me and it’s rather terrifying.
Especially when what Desmond said clicks. “Oh my god, you’re going to knot me.”
He laughs as he grabs my dick again. “That’s the idea. Knot your sweet ass and make you ours.”
My eyes widen despite the way my body responds. Which is to perfume like crazy while my asshole slicks more than I ever have, and pop a boner faster than I knew I could. The terror doesn’t go away, though.
As much as I want them to knot me, as much as I’d love to feel what it’s like to have both of them buried inside me, I’m not sure I can take one of them let alone both.
There’s no way the toys I have in my apartment compare to these two.
Thankfully, Magnolia must read that on my face and since I blurted my biggest secret to her moments ago, she knows why.
“Your body was made for this, Isaak.” She pops the button on my fly and pulls the zipper down. “It might sting a little, you’ll need a little time to adjust, but since you’re with your scent matches, it won’t be so bad. Your body knows they’re yours, let it do what it was meant to do in response to that.”
She slips her hand into my pants cautiously, toying with the waist band of my boxer briefs, watching me closely before doinganything else. Which I appreciate to some degree. A lot has happened already and I’ve wanted all of it, but this is big.
This is monumental.
This is fate.
Somewhere in the back of my mind I’ve known that all along.
They are my fate, the same way I’m theirs.
