is one of the many things I have missed while Olivia was gone.

The snuggling and just being in the arms of your people.

There is no place I would rather be at this moment, but I don’t know if we still have people in the office downstairs, and they probably just got a free audio-only preview of what we were doing, because I know we weren’t quiet.

“We should probably go back to the office soon,” I whisper. Secretly hoping they didn’t hear me, so we can just stay like this for longer.

I hear Olivia sigh dramatically on the other side of Alex. “I guess we kind of have to.”

“Ughhh,” Alex groans before he pulls us both in tighter to his side. He starts to kiss my neck, and the scruff on his face tickles me, causing me to squirm and kick.

“Watch where you are kicking Muneca. We don’t want to break the jewels.” Alex covers his junk in exaggeration.

“Oh, get over yourself. I’m not gonna kick your nuts, and even if I did, you will get over it. Don’t tickle me, or you are at risk of getting kicked.”

Olivia starts to get out of bed and laughs at us while I continue to squirm out of Alex’s grip. “Come on, you two, we've got to go plan a war. There is no way these fuckers will threaten my girl and get away with it.”

We get dressed and head back downstairs to the living room, where everyone has migrated to watch hockey on the TV.

It looks like the Chicago Ice Vortex is playing against the LA Gladiators.

Olivia leans over the couch and leans in close to Oliver.

“Who’s winning?” I guess no one heard us come down because Oliver damn near jumped out of his skin.

Everyone starts to laugh, including all of Oliver’s guys.

“Damn, bro, didn't know a mafia boss was so easily scared?” Olivia smiles and struts her way back over to my side, grabbing my hand.

Oliver was glaring daggers into her back.

“Sorry about that, gentleman. Shall we go back into the office and get to planning?” Alex claps his hands together in front of himself.

You can tell he is back in full business mode, and a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

He is less doom and gloom as he walks across the living room towards his office.

Oliver looks over at Olivia and me as he turns off the TV and gets up to walk to the office; the rest of the men follow suit.

Olivia and I are the last to get into the office, our fingers intertwined. I shut the door, and everyone turns and looks at us. “Y’all got a problem with your eyeballs? I can help with that.” I pull out my knife and spin it in my hands, ready to stab everyone who looks at Olivia the wrong way.

With a giggle, Olivia pulls me into her arms, pinning me in place. “Calm down, Stabby McStabberson. You’re threatening the wrong people.”

I roll my eyes and lean into Olivia’s embrace, still playing with my knife. This knife I took from Tony has become my go-to weapon. I can’t help myself; it’s the perfect weight in my hand, and it’s so pretty.

“Ok, gentlemen, tell me what I need to know.” Alex is standing behind his desk, leaning on his hands as he looks directly at Oliver, waiting for the game plan to unfold.

“Alright, as we stated before, it seems the Starr brothers are working with the Italians. My family had no problem with them; we had previously gone to Italy and met with them. Alessio is his son, so I would assume he is in charge of the men here in the States, but I am not positive.”

I feel Olivia tense up as Oliver is talking.

I turn my head to see the fury in her eyes.

I can only imagine what it feels like not to know about a significant part of your family until you are taken captive.

I lean over and press my lips to her cheek, trying to let her know I am right here for her.

She looks at me and gives me the tiniest smile. She is hurt, and I get that.

“…but as you said, Alex, your family is not friends with the Italians, so this is going to make this situation more complicated. We need to arrange for the Starr brothers not to be with the Italians when we make our moves. It’s going to take some intel that I can work with you on.

” He nods to Alex, who returns the nod. “Then we will go in, secure them, and dispose of them.”

This plan seems to be missing some details, but maybe I was distracted by Olivia when they went over it.

“How long will this take? When will we bust into action? I really just want to get this done and over with." Oliver looks at me, shocked, like I just cussed him out.

"We will be done when we are done!" He snaps, stomping toward me. Olivia pushes me down onto the couch to the side of her and stands, squaring up to her twin.

"She was asking about how long until we get this plan over with.

Not when will we be done with the meeting, asshole!

She is the primary target, so she has a right to these fucking questions.

So calm your fucking tits or you will be dealing with me!

" Olivia stares up at Oliver as he walks back a few steps.

"Sorry, Rachel, I misunderstood." Oliver's cheeks are red with embarrassment. Olivia sits back down on the couch and pulls me into her side, wrapping her arm around my shoulder protectively.

Possessively.

"All good. I just want the Starr brothers out of my life for good." He nods at me, finally understanding that I just want these fuckers gone. He then turns back toward Alex, who is now sitting in the big black chair behind his desk.

"We need to get the layout of the casino and any other information about the Italians that might help us get to the Starr brothers.

" Alex nods in understanding. They continue to discuss plans that I tune out, leaning into Olivia’s shoulder.

They will let me know when I need to do my part.

As long as everything else is taken care of, I don't mind.
