He knelt up on the sofa, looming over me, a smug grin on his flushed face, green eyes sparkling. My breath caught in my throat at how handsome he was, how utterly perfect.

“That’s payback for last time,” he said.

“How about we call a truce,” I said. “No more tickling from either of us.”

“And miss out on the opportunity to have you squirming underneath me? Not a chance.”

He lowered his head until his lips were inches away. He took my wrists in his hands again and pinned them to the arm of the sofa above my head.
