Page 56 of Hard Rock Love
Seth’s every touch sent me reeling, and the taste of his kiss was enough to cause all my reservations to scamper away.
Here I was, surrounded by paraphernalia from my favorite books, essentially in a replica of freakingHogwarts, and all I could think about was this man and the sensations he could wring from me.
I sighed into his mouth, giving in to the pleasure of his firm body pressed against mine.
“Ahem!”
We jumped, startled, breaking our kiss. A security guard stood a few feet away, coughing into his hand.
“You kids mind keeping it PG over here?” he asked.
“Sorry,” I whispered, turning bright red.
Seth ran a hand through his auburn hair, looking unruffled.
“Sure thing, man,” he said. “Sorry for the disturbance.”
The guard grumbled a few more warning words, then continued on his way.
I put my hands to my flaming face.
“I can’t believe we got caught,” I groaned.
“This? This was nothing,” Seth said dismissively. “At least we both still have our clothes on. The other guys have been caught in way more compromising situations than this one. One time Gael had his—”
“Stop!” I held up a hand. “I don’t want to know.”
“I’m just saying, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I’m sure that guy has caught people making out in dark corners before.”
“None of those people were me.” I rubbed my palm over my face. “Let’s just keep on going. And try to behave this time.”
“You’re the one who kissed me,” he said.
“You’re a bad influence,” I accused.
“So that’s a no on the restricted section?” he asked.
I smacked him in the chest with the map.
“Where to next?” I asked.
We continued wandering around the exhibit, taking in the sights. I kept an eye out for that security guard, but didn’t see him again.
“This is fun,” Seth said as he examined a Time-Turner hanging from a chain around a mannequin’s neck. “I haven’t done this in a while.”
“Going to a Harry Potter exhibit?” I asked.
“No, just visiting this kind of thing in general. Cerise sometimes gets too stressed out — well, all the time really,” he said ruefully. “So she likes to go to art exhibits and installations and things, as a way to sort of chill. We used to go together whenever there was a cool one in town. We haven’t been anywhere in a while, though.”
“You guys have been busy with work,” I noted.
“Yeah, there’s that but…” he shrugged, avoiding my eyes and focusing on the necklace. “She mostly goes with Liam now. He’s really good at calming her down when she’s stressed.”
I caught the hint of regret in his voice. I came up to him and laid a hand on his arm.
“It sounds like you miss it,” I said.
“It’s not so much that I miss going to all those art things,” he said thoughtfully. “Truthfully, most of them are really pretentious. I just liked having a way to be there for her, you know? She’s got the weight of the whole band on her shoulders. It was nice, knowing I could do something to help her.”
